1st Grow From Clones

Hello everyone.:tiphat: Welcome to my first grow from clones. I picked up 4 clones on 3/21/11. I got a N.Y.C.D., a Sour Diesel, a Hawaiian Snow, and a White Berry. The only one I'm familiar with is Sour Diesel that i ran from seed from Rez Dog. Not much to see right now but hopefully things will pick up soon.

About my grow. I'm growing in a 39" X 39" X 78" tent. I'm vegging under a 400 watt mh and plan on flowering under a 400 watt hps. I plan on using an organic soil mix. What that mix will consist of I'm not sure yet. Waiting till I go to the garden store latter this week and see what they have. Right now they're in a peat moss / perlite mix and are being fed a fish/kelp emulsion mix.

I'm mostly an outdoor grower, so any advice or suggestions are welcome.

Over the last week they've really started to pick up speed. I topped the NYCD to try and keep it the same height as the others. The White Berry has been the most impressive so far and the Hawaiian Snow has been the slowest.

its a tall classicly sativa plant with a very uniqe bud structer and smell. the smell is hard to expalin but its intense and the high is realy realy strong not in a indica sense but in a sativa sense !!its hard to sleep !! i was up for days on end with my hawian snow wide eyed totaly !!! its not mind altering in a thai way,, its like anphetamines gives you energy extra vigour !!!! even extra conferdence !!

anpheraweed i call it lol !!!

but as always depends on pheno!!! and how well or bad its grown !!!

sometimes you get 2 phenos from the same packet of seeds that are totaly differnt but with it been cuttings someone must of selected it ,so you should be in for a treat :)

Damn that must have been running HOT to cause the glass to warp like that.

You don't need to run a MH conversion bulb in a HPS ballast, MH bulbs will run fine on an equal wattage HPS ballast.

The only difference between HPS and MH ballasts is the igniter. HPS Bulbs need a special igniter to start and MH bulbs don't. That what makes ballasts "switchable" the only thing that switch is doing is turning the igniter on and off....

Yeah, a buddy of mine owns a grow shop and when I asked him about MH conversion bulbs he told me that.

I honestly didn't believe him until I tried it...

Blew my mind!

Glad I could help.

Interesting,........ I might have to test that,.... I'd love to get some blue into my flowering room, and I've got an extra 400w MH bulb.......

To the OP, babies are looking good, your gonna love the smart pots for flowering! ;) They're pretty much all I use (unless I run out and am forced to pot into plastic)

Only problem I'm running into is an accumulation of salts in the fabric after about 3 uses, and cleaning them is a bit of a bitch since the wife wont let me just toss em in the washer! :D

Here's a couple pics of the roots before transplant. Looks like they were ready for bigger containers.

Here is a group shot after transplanting them into 3 gallon smart pots. They're in a mix of peat moss, perlite, and worm castings. I also mixed in some bone meal, blood meal, and desert bat guano. I'm not sure why they're so droopy right now. I'm hoping they will really take off soon.

And here is some Dutch Treat & G13 x Sweat Tooth #3 seedlings I just started that will be going outside sometime in May.

i'm going to have to keep an eye on your hawaiian snow and white berry. i say the white berry featured on a magazine a couple of years ago. the seedlings u have should be nice. i don't think i've seen the dutch treat to often. enjoy

Thanks for stopping by. Dutch Treat is my go to outdoor strain. Not the most powerful or biggest yield but comes in early.

Do you guys/gals think I'd be better off doing a scrog or just low stress training them? Right now I'm leaning towards lst.
