Increse darkness to 13 hours to speed up bloom

Has any indoor grower experimented with the light cycle to speed up the maturation of his plants? I had a timer error that screwed my plants up for 1 1/2 weeks after their fourth week of flower. The tops started to reveg, no colas. Rather than start the week of flowering all over what would be the impact of going 11 hours light/13 hours dark, rather than the 12/12 I am now on. Would this speed up the budding process? I have been warned to look for hermi nanners as I continue the flowering process. I'd like to speed up the budding process by increasing darkness time, if it works. Any advice from someone who has done this is appreciated.:tiphat:

I am at the end of week 7 of flower, and the timer error has really slowed these plants up too much. I have increased darkness by 1/2 hour today, and will see how it affects them over the next two weeks. The snow white, blue mystic and strawberry bubba kush are all indica enough that I hope this puts them into overdrive on flowering. I will take them to 12 weeks if necessary. The alien dawg appears sativa dominant and looks to be a real shitty yeilder, but that is what you get with freebies. What do they call the technique of bending over the tops, but not snapping the stem completely? I might try this with the alien dawg and one blue mystic. How would it affect the top, that should already be a cola, but is not at this stage. A damn timer error for, shutdown for 1/2 hour in the middle of darkness, for 1 to 2 weeks really screwed up my calendar for this grow. I will be patient for 12 weeks, after that who knows. Any advice appreciated, and has this happened to anyone else in the middle of flower?
