Can i freeze trimmings ? Making kief ??

Hi

Will it damage the trichs ? How long can i freeze ??

I plan on using in a diy tumbler as well, what is the best way to 'prep' the trim before tumbling it ??

dry it...

freeze it if you do a butane extraction or water extraction...

I will be using a diy tumbler mate, which rotates the trim slowly and its screen through a 43t mesh screen.

you can freeze fresh or dry you can store it this way for many years

it will make the trichs more brittle so it is more trichs fall off when making hash

I freeze all of my trim before I make hash or kif. It thaws out super fast though! Try an experiment, try some unfrozen and some froze trim. You will notice almost twice as much kif from the frozen stuff. Seriously though, kif is somewhat nasty imo. Make some BHO with some colibri butane, or make some delicious bubble

takeiteazy, be wary of the appearance of frost on the frozen trim in warm and humid air.

There's bigger issues here than whether to freeze or not, the actual gland moisture content plays a big roll in what you get, making kif from fresh frozen material itself can get you a very gooey kif, my FMCD bubble comes from fresh frozen, but for kif I think a good long dry before freezing will help get a better kif thats easier to handle, just my 02¢.
