Hello All.
We spent our late fall and early winter getting owned and me bed ridden as my cancer therapy was ramped up to remove cancer with organic nutrition and a suppliment list that would choke a horse. It kicked my ass, all our asses and everything I was working on was put on hold. But it worked and worked very well and we are fired up and back at it. I blew two loads in my rooms because of a poor soil environment with all kinds of problems and it forced us to really focus on our dirt.
With most nurtitional therapys there is a ridicoulous amount of fruits and vegies used and most require nothing but raw organic whole foods. So the pulp from juicing, a ton of coffee grounds and my families food waste was all poured under a huge oak tree the fall hit and the acorns and oak leaves fell, the wood stove ash was mixed in along with Turkey, Chicken, Duck compost and any other organic mater we could find. We added rock, perlite, lava rock, and oyster shell. We should have enough soil for our outdoor and indoor grows this year without having to spend.
We have started pollenating a bunch of stuff from seeds my wife and I have collected and one constant is everything has res sour d in them. At the peak of my pain when tumors pressed on all my nerves Sour D was the only way to end the pain. Finest nerve pain I have found. Some of the mixes we made are Amnesia Kush, BBK, Sage Sour, Deep Purple, Space Queen, Blue Dream, Blue Dream / Oriental Express. We are done bringing cuts onto our property, seeds only from now on. The stuff going inside is in the soil we made and we have only watered from seed to end of flower. This is a first to us.
On our farm end of things we have bred the Pekings but they would not sit so we are incubating. We also have a new mix of chickens that blend better and are a little smaller than our last mix. We have falcons, buzzards and hawks that hunt our free rangers on clear days we need fast alert egg layers. On the food end of things we are focused on fruits and the top ANDI rated foods like kale, chard, bok choy, ext. They are going in hoop houses this week. Man its great to be back at it.
Containers outside are looking like 6 large smart pots that we have suplimental lighting for and hoop heated hoop houses. We are going to run light deprive on another 6 in 30 gal smart pots in a well vented hoop house. 6-12 more in a variety of containers.
Winter has been cold here with very few outside working days. But we got 5 more clear and warm so we are at it. I cant wait till spring.
A few pics, just soil.
Kale 1000 ANDI and Spinach 739 ANDI scores.
Oriental Express, Sour D, Blue Dream and Space Queen.
