I have beeen vaping @ like 210 C , jhust wondering if this is too high of a temp or not high enough?......I know everyone has their own way to do it , just wondering ????:ying:

That's a trick question. It depends on the vaporizer, how you use that particular vaporizer, the herb you're vaporizing and also what you want out of the vapor.

As you'll see THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) will vaporize at 157C already. But if you want to vaporize all of the active cannabinoids you'll have to go up to 220C, and for some other active ingredients even higher. Which one of the temperatures is "better" depends on your wants and medical needs.

But you'll most probably want to experiment anyway instead of using a set temperature. What does the temperature display mean anyway? The active ingredients will only vaporize when the material is that temperature and for example the Extreme Q tells (approximates) the temperature of the air that passes the material. So if you don't allow it to percolate for a while you might want to use an even higher temperature. And how fast the air moves will also make a difference if you're sucking the whip you can obviously suck at different speeds and the Q's fan can also be used at three different speeds. And other vaporizers temperature displays might measure something completely different.

Since I'm not looking to get THC only but the whole range what I'm vaping offers what I do is I try to figure out a temp that's as high as possible for the particular herb and then use that. By high as possible I mean as high as you can go without combustion. This way the weed will then turn into a dark brown material. People who like to vape with lower temperatures get lighter brown stuff that can still be used for cooking but I don't think the darker brown stuff is good for much anymore. So whether or not you like cooking is something to consider too. :D
