Madlib's liberated quarters (100w LED/600w HID mod ScrOG)

Well, I figured my journal called for a new ID, just in case the old lady decides to make trouble for the mad lib.

Well, I'm not up to actually scrogging yet. For now, round 1 of my mother search has yielded some interesting candidates.

here is the gang I started with, all from seed. Some Manadala 1's, Blue Satellite 2.2, and lotsa bagseed:

out of the whole lot, all were culled, save for 3 mandala 1's and 1 bagseed. There is a fast flowering pheno, a slower one, and one that made a bush when accidentally fim'd. The bushy one is gonna be my scrog producer, and coming up next round I am scrogging two of them, along with one of the slower flowering pheno. The fast and heavy producer was hard to clone due to very slow early growth, so I did not have a clone ready.

Here are the 4 candidates at 3 weeks:

And at 6 weeks. In order clockwise from bottom right - Mandala 1 fast and heavy, Mandala 1 slow flower, Mandala 1 bushy, and the bagseed:

VG: the quarters are a tribute to you bro! Although for now only 3 of the spots will have a mod scrog, and the 4th spot will be for stuff from seed. I'll post the modules later after the camera charges. I've adapted the design to my space by raising the screen to 20"over the medium so I can get under it through the side flaps. The screens themselves are pretty big too - 15"x15"

unthing: thanks!

here's what's veggin. some skunkman freebies, blue satellite 2.2, some more mandala 1's, and some 8 miles high. The three on the right are the clones headed for mod ScrOG:

and here is one of the modules. The screen design is just a simple "u" shape buried in the smartpot. With 15 gals of soil mix on top it is anchored well, and when you factor in the root mass, it should stay put. I train around the screens, not just under, so the effective canopy is about 20x20 inches.

blockbuster!

blockbuster!

I was not digging the reflector i got from the bay in my 4x4 tent, so I got myself a blockbuster 6". Holy shit! It's huge!

day 46 seed trial mandala 1

day 46 seed trial mandala 1

i like all these phenos! It has been a real chore keeping these plants alive in such tiny pots. back left is bagseed actually.

here's a look at what's on deck now.

seedling candidates (welcome to stress hell!):

8 miles high

blue sat 2.2 - the one in front has taken two months to get this big. growth is all weird, like it has TMV

and the mandala 1 clones headed for scrog (struggling to keep them shorter than screen now, can't transplant for a week at least)

Nice, sub'ed :)

I just build a modular scrog similar to what you did

AND, I also have some of those freebies going, they are smaller then yours atm. So I will be watching to see what those do !

nice little treat. I thought another plant would looked more ripe, but this one was first with amber trichs.

it's the one from the "lights on" sequence.

I had a blue sat wip it out and jizz all over itself over night. doh! Wha happened?
that's 4/5 males and 1/5 mutated plants from the blue sat 2.2 freebies.

here is my mandala 1 keeper, in the end. She put on weight slower than all the others, but wound up yielding like 2 plants. I kept the purple one too, and coming up, 2 cuts of the purple and 1 of the keeper get scrogged, and some more pheno sifting with the skunkman mix and the 8 miles high.

I'm also moving to a 1k hps.

I changed my mind about the purple mandala 1. I chopped the mother I made, and one of the clones. So I am getting ready for a perpetual grow. The 1k should give me the penetration I need to afford a slightly uneven canopy, and I can veg 2/4 pots all the way to flip in the LED closet.

Veg time is over two months; objectives are high yield/low plant numbers.

I have the mandala 1 pinned down, that leaves the 8 miles, the bagseed, and the skunkman freebies

time for an update.

12/12 starts tomorrow in the flower cab. I have the 1k lumatek hps in there now, on super lumens. The mandala 1 ladies have pretty much filled out their screens, and the skunkman cross just reached it - I am being very conservative with those skinny leaves.

4th quarter was just sown with living mulch. In the veg room is another skunkman cross, and an 8 miles high cut that has a squash or something growing next to it.

All my big pots have living mulches or just got sown. I am not going to be up-potting any more, just root a cut and throw it in the 15 gal pot.

living mulch baby!

clover is like a little N drip when you need it. Shades the soil surface, gives predators a place to live, conserves water, etc..
