Hi Everyone

I have been battling with mites this grow, but i thought i had them. This is my first grow and i was just scoping some nugs and the trichomes are 10% amber, BUT I spotted 2 spider mites on the actual buds and also found a couple infested leaves on the plant.

This close to harvest is it ok to spray with azamax and would that even do any good? I i have read they will crawl up the stems and it seems like the azamax would kill them and not allow them to do that. It also says azamax is safe until day of harvest so i just dont know. I cant find any webs, but a few leaves infected and defintely spotted some on the actual buds.

I'd know this has been rehashed, but I just want my bud to turn out the best i can and I'm dont know how many spider mites would be on my buds after harvest if i dont do anything.

If you spray they will die. Azamax can be used safely right up to the end, but I would not use it in the last week. If it were my plant I would harvest now or spray and wait a week.

Sorry.

On a more constructive note, if you are just a few days to a week from harvest, spray with plain water to keep them under control.

just use a hose attachment on your vacuum & suck them off. Also, any green stick that sticks above the top of your canopy, bamboo or wire, will trick them and they will climb up it. They think it's the top of your plant. This makes it really easy to wipe them off with a paper towel - spray w/ your solution of choice (I like SNS-214). You can also use the SNS or Zero Tolerance up to harvest and I would go with either of these over Azamaz as they are natural oils.

its time to harvest, so i was gonna harvest tomorrow afternoon as soon as the lights come on. Its only one plant so far that i am finding this problem so do you still think i should spray?

Not if you are going to harvest tomorrow.

For the future the best way to deal with mites is by regular preventative spraying in veg and early flower. So if you have other plants that are going to be harvested later you should spray.

10% amber! i harvest then anyway cause i like to be HIGH. you should have pulled them as soon as you saw them yesterday. pull them now!
when i check my trichs and they are all cloudy, at that point, if i see any bugs on them they go bye bye. hell with killing them, get them out of there!
