Yes get yourself a PH pen, Hovz. It will solve most of your problems I can assure you. The FFOF experience I've had has not always been the best believe it or not. MG is far cheaper, I have a thread about it. The bud drying looks great! That aerocloner looks pretty pimp too.

Also a tip with cloning in the jiffy pucks; if you can put your cloning tray on some kind of shelf (preferably metal) you can use an incandescent light bulb lamp underneath to heat it. I've cloned in the dead of winter in a garage with this method. And also, every day be sure to pull the lid off and let them get some air for at least a few minutes. As you get closer and closer to the 2 week mark start keeping the lid off longer until you don't need it, then you should start seeing roots. You want them to be humid but don't overdo it. The roots and the leaves just need to be moist, not dripping wet, otherwise they won't grow and they'll rot. Get 'em some air!

I do see some defs going on there but once you get your PH pen and nutes dialed down with your runoff you will be pulling a lot more out of what you have going. Your room design looks solid. Check The Attitude seed bank for better genetics. My advice is don't do the white widow. A class strain indeed but there is far tastier stuff available at this point. I'm looking at the new Tangerine Dream or the True Blueberry from DJ short.

Keep on, brother.:ying:

Hey Bsound, thanks for stopping by. I think i will pickup a ph pen next trip to the hydro store. Thats a good idea for cloning with a metal shelf and a lightbulb, i never thought of that. Ya i'm defiantly going to try some different genetics, i've always been a fan of dj short myself. Thanks again for stopping in, i hope i can get next round dialed in.

Just a little update, i put the two mothers under the one 600w i have still working. I have 4 rooted clones vegging in the tent and some of the clones in the aero cloner are also starting to throw roots. Hopefully i can get another 600w ballast and get my other light running again.

Finally got some batteries for my camera, i went and snapped a few photos. Here's the mother plants under the remaining 600w hps, I'm still pissed about my digital greenhouse one breaking and my cheapo htg supply one is still running strong. I'll probably just replace the broken one and stick with 1200w hps for bloom.

I Still need to put that cardboard box with the fan and thermostat up on a shelf.

Okay so here's inside the veg tent with the single stoplight 2 bulb fixture. I'll be upgrading to a t5 system next time i made a order online. And finally here's inside my DIY aerocloner. I have a aquarium heater with the temp set to 72 degrees F and also i figure the pump puts out some heat. Idk if it would be beneficial to dial the heat up on the heater for faster rooting? and also does dipping the cuttings in rooting hormone before putting them into the cloner increase rooting rates at all?

That's it for now, I'm hoping to get some plants in the bloom room flowering because the way i see it if you're not flowering then you're not a good grower.

Looks Great to me Hovz! When using an
aerocloner its not necessary to use any rooting
hormones.
As far as Not being a Good grower...
Id just say ur not as organized.. Yet!!
Keep it growing bro!
Cheers

Thanks for stopping in greenadian, Ya i figured they didn't need root hormone but i do have some laying around i use on jiffy pellets. Ya i agree i'm not that organized yet. I still need to get some top notch strains and expand my grow. If i can get some fundage in order i plan on building a nice 10'x12' shed for growing and maybe eventually a larger pole building type shed. Anyways i'm gonna keep growing so you can count on updates. I think i'm gonna maybe try some aerated compost tea or maybe some foxfarms ferts.

Hey everybody, i went and picked up a few things from the hydrostore today. I got a new 1' t5 bulb for cloning with and also a 4' t5 bulb to add to my other shoplight fixture in the veg tent. Also i picked up 50 rapid rooters, and 50 1 gallon grow bags. I Got a Milwaukee ph meter and earth juice natural ph up and down. I Also picked up 3 bags of FFOF and a bag of FF Light warrior. I got a bunch of beer cups to start off some clones in once they get rooted. I still need to replace my broken 600w ballast and get a better carbon filter hooked up in the bud room. It would also benefit from a new door on the bloom room and some more lightproofing. I still need to put my fan up on a shelf off the floor too. I'll take some more clones here soon and get a bunch in the rapid rooters and fill the aerocloner backup once they are all rooted, i might even build another aerocloner. Anyways i think i got enough equipment to pull off another good grow now i just need to replace my ballast and get a nice filter. That's all for now, later icmag ...... Hovz

Bump...... Hey i just put up a home depot shelf in the growroom and i snapped a couple pics.

picture.php

I put the clone dome on there with the new t5 bulb i bought yesterday above it, and for heat its got the heating mat underneath. I also bought 50 rapid rooters and a tray to fit them into for cloning.

Here's inside the veg tent
picture.php

Things are going as fast as i would have hoped for them but i guess i can't expect too much using these small wattage lights. I installed a t5 yesterday though I might be getting another one of these or a nice 5 or 6 bulb fixture.

Also yesterday picked up this ph pen and earthjuice natural up and down.

Here's a little peak inside the aero cloner. I'll transplant them once they get some more roots.

picture.php

Here's the moms in the bloom room going under 24 hrs of light from the one remaining 600w ballast i have working :(

picture.php

They need a nice nitrogen boost i might mix up a nice Aerated Compost tea with some high N guano and kelp meal and some molasses maybe a little liquid karma. I might also tryout the Humboldt county Bush master. That's all i got for now, i hope my grow isn't too boring at the moment i'm hoping to get things fixed up and get a nice show going. I might order some seeds if i can find a nice strain that catches my eye. I Need a indica thats good in SOG.
Does anyone know what you get for a free pack rightnow at seedbay? I might get some spice of life seeds i've heard good things about those. Anyway i'll stay updated with more pics, and all all suggestions are welcomed, i can answer any questions you might have also... later...... Hovz

Update 3/31/2011: This morning i went out and gave them a watering at ph 6.5 . I did this last time and they responded pretty well. The mothers defiantly showed some noticeable new growth. My four baby clones are coming along well also. Probably tomorrow i'll be transplanting the clones in the aerocloner into some beer cups with some happy frog. I'll take some photos of the transplant when it happens. Thats all for now ........... Later

Hey everybody its been a while since i last updated so here's what i got going on.

In the veg tent i got my four clones coming along nicely with a bunch more now in beer cups once again all the same strain as last time. I finally found out the name of the strain is "Guinea Pig" it was a cross between two different strains.

Here's my two reservoirs bubbling.

Here's a couple babies starting out life.

Some more

and some more... 14 in total

And here's a lil peak inside the aerocloner, if you can't see it there's a couple more taproots starting to show.

So i made a drastic decision and decided to switch back to chemical fertilizers and starting now i'm using the K.I.S.S. method which apply's perfectly to me. I already had the nutes and the ph control stuff and then i just mix up the nutes and flip the pumps on and it automatically waters all 12 plants. I'll have it set on a timer for when i go out of town. Heres a pic of the setup as of now only 1 600w light.

picture.php

I will go back to the khaleel grow method eventually i just needed to do a more simple chem nute regime for a grow or two.

Hey Hovz good lookin grow! What did you end up yielding from that first harvest? I know you said you were hoping for a half pound...just curious to what you actually pulled after drying and processing? By the way those buds look frosty and delicious!

Hey bud thanks for stopping by. The last round i ended up yeilding about 7 ounces dried of some pretty decent buds. A little short of my half pound mark but still good. I could have had a lot more if i would have done some better pruning of the lower popcorn bud branches. Thanks for the kind words im glad someone likes my nugs. I'm hopping this new nute regime should help me yield a little more and speed up the process.
