i used to use soil (Organic)...

what makes coco better...(for me)
plants grow faster
roots grow faster & stronger as the can get through the coco faster...
cant over water....well you can if left in standing water (trechfoot). you can grow a bigger plant in a smaller pot.
plants can even finish faster.
you can flush faster
coco is lighter

bad things about coco.

you have to water/feed most days

but there are some soil jedi's out there but mostly use the own organic mixes

keep it green
highlander

I was being a smartass, I think soil is far from superior.

If you have 4000w and you aren't hitting 1 GPW already I recommend you take a look in the vert section. Those fellas are knocking it out of the park!

with 4000w of 600s you could easily do some kind of "Heath Trees" that would yield at least what you're asking. But not in the container size you're hoping for.

Buckle down and buy some medium. Pawn something.

if u want to grow 32 plants in 16 beer cups, try smokeys method, he has the franchise on high plant count 6 gram bangers.

Dude you need to relax. Try and be a little respectful to the growers around here. The people around here are already very tired of this.

Hey ya Crew, been round while but been eleswere on other forums n such, but always come back to good ol ICMAG for all my answers.
As this place is great havent need to ask much over last few years as all pretty self explanatory if ya not half a twit :)

Well anyways i started hand watering coco under a 400 watt mh about 3 or 4 years ago n now have built up my happy happy grow room now up to 4000watts, room size is 3 by 3 meters. And yer i still hand water lol.

Well anyway to my question, have veged for 2 weeks from clone n happily harvested 4 ounces per plant under 600s in 10 liter pots...but my problem here is just got married outs cash cant afford the 500 odd liters of coco i need to repot into 20 or 30 liter buckets........
So can i yiled 6lb from 4000watts with 12 plants in 250mm pots:wave: or 8.1 liters :(

IMHO more root space is better. there are people doing insane grows in small pots ( respect ) but those guys are not asking this question. go with what you know....:)

2gal will net anywhere from 56g~24oz. I average roughly 8-12 oz @ 4 plants per light 2 week veg. Beginners should be netting half that if all is average.

I can get 500 l coco here for 210 cad. Not much considering u run 4000 watts. Say you yield .5 gs a watt. I know its low just sayin. 2000 grams per harvest. ApproX 4 pounds. Sell 3 keep 1 or even a half to get to next harvest. So thats min 6000 dollars. Cash in your pocket for 210 bucks. Plus nutes and hydro. Really that hard to get a loan?

Oh sorry for the retarded answer. Heres something a little more helpful. Not from my experience but I see coco growers growing in 1 gallon no prob, medium size plants with multiple feedings throughout flower. Most likely drip but u can do it hand watered as well. I do not think a litre less from 9 to 8 will have much impact. I think thats what you said. Just water is needed sooner. Supposedly if you multy feed it boosts growth. I tend to feed once a day.

That's what I did last grow... I used a coco based product called basement mix. I really liked it. I did notice that I needed to water a lot more then when I unwashed using sunshine mix 4... But I did seem to get my largest yield to date using that coco mix... I wanted to get it again but they where out of it...

If those pots are Hempy buckets with coco, there is no reason to go over two gallons. Plants will get huge if watered daily, or on a drip system. I have pulled a pound out of a two gallon bucket, but that was with two month+ veg. With one month veg, you can pull 8 oz plants, no problem, depending on strain of course.
Check out the Coco Hempy Style thread.
