A month is about normal for preflowers under 18/6 lighting, though some strains take longer.

That works great but I would not do that in the heat of the day. Start your 12/12 late in the evening. If its to hot the condensation will cause bud rot.

The ? is has a person in the IC Mag community sexed a plant by what i want to try
Take a fresh cutting(clone) and flip to 12/12 imediatly

Did you completely miss this post jm420?
Don't take my word for it - get some magnification and check your plants. If they are over a month old there is a good chance you will be able see pre-flower type formations on the nodes - and under magnification you ought to be able to tell the actual sex.
A loop is a very useful tool for growing MJ. You need one anyway.

This is just my experience, sexing cuts in flower will take a bit longer to show. IMO, it's dual case of cut and forced-12/12 stress.
pinecone is right. barring surprises, all you need to see is one hair or ball per plant. You can get a 30x loop for $5 or less.

Best answer so far is glasses of water.I dont have room for 25 glasses but i do have room for 25 rock wool cubes(1.5x1.5)

It's simple to do, hard to guess what your results will be and whether you'll buy any time. If you're happy with the cubes, give it a try. You could also get a stack of bathroom dixie cups and try water only. A sharpie to mark the cups would be handy.

The ones with the batteries are good for checking trichomes. Jeweler's loops are good for sexing plants and looking for mites and mite eggs.

I sexed the last of those three SSH seedlings this morning. You can see by reference to my thumbnail how small these early preflowers are. It is a girl.
That one is the 7th node which is just developing (2nd from top). The other two showed on the 4th or 5th node.
