need help with ozone gen

i have a smell leak somewhere from my sealed room, seems to be coming from my a/c even though i sealed the fresh air intake up

i bought a cap ozn-1 to put in the area of my ac exhaust and after 5 or 6 hours of use I still had an overwhelming smell. is there somewhere specific i need to place the generator or can it just be set in the room?

im running chem d so i understand the smell is serious but even with a 8x39 phat filter scrubbing the room and the ozone near the a/c exhaust i could definitely still smell bud and its strong as hell

:1help:

From my research on the subject, it seems you have to give the O3 time to work on the smell. Most people put them inside a long exhaust duct, giving it time to break down the smell. Using it in a whole room would take a good sized unit and be considered dangerous, not only for our plants, but do you. Can you contain the smell somewhat and do the duct ozone thing pulling air from the affected smell area? It just needs time to interact with those sticky molecules.

I'd put the ozn-1 in the room where it would be hit with an oscillating fan and put it on a cycle timer (like an ART-DNe). I'd have a (off) switch I could access a half hour before entering the room.

That's my plan for supplemental odor control but I don't have a sealed room. Maybe I'm sensitive but my ozn-1 gave me a bitch headache when I tried it out.

yeah its in a big open area so ill give it a few days to really work on the smell, the a/c exhaust duct isnt very long or I would put the gen inside that but at max the duct is only like 3 ft and I dont think that would suffice

i have some extra duct so if in a couple days i dont notice a difference maybe ill stretch out the exhaust duct and throw the gen in there

blow it round the room

Ive used ozone for years,So much dis=info
Its never hurt my plants ever.it
it will hurt you tho ,i often forget to turn off before i go in the room end up with a croaky voice
I have 4.8 kw flowering ,the mg 03 per hour output is 82 mg i think will double check for you tommorow.the more o2 in the room the better it works
Next time somebody tells you itll hurt your plants ask them how long they used one.A

andyo... what type and how often do you use the o3.
i used a Uvonair® 5000
without any adverse affects (that i can see)
i used it only 15 minutes a day, but i would like to use it constantly if its not a problem

as far as killing all the smell coming out the exhaust. this model does not do it. nor is it supposed to. that would require a high output inline model which i have never tried so i cant say how well they work or don't.

Its a model i bought in thailand output 86 mg per hour ozonair
20 years ago i first tried ozone in the veg room which was stinking worked fine .
Though i believed the dis-info that it would dammage flowering plants.
In a 24 kw grow uk i used ozone gennys in the big loft above my rooms blowing it around.
A friend told me he had been using an ozone genorator in the flower room n no ill effects.
So i tried it when i set up in thailand .Has 5 levels so i started on 1 found the smell was gone on level 4 ,I went up on the roof to the vents could just smell a tiny bit of ozone .
9 mnths cropping nothing wrong with the buds smell great /normal potency good same as uk.I use hydroton in ebb/flow the ozone gets drawn down in to hydroton on the ebb cycle ,roots at end of crop perfectly normal.A

I use a 1000mg/hr ozone generator. I connect `100mm ducting from the ozone generator to BEHIND the circulating fan in the grow room. This ensures the ozone is spread around the room. I have the ozone generator on a timer, 15mins on and 45mins off thus it is on 6hours/24. This setting on the timer produces enough ozone to neutralise all smell as well as preventing to high a level which would be dangerous to my health (I grow in my bedroom...in a flat) I suggest you give this a try, it works really well for me. I only use a ozone generator for odour control.:gday:
