I was going in to put the plants in my holes, ive only been there 2wice before during the day... smh, its a totally different story at night.. to make matters worse I was carrying a box w/ 16 plants..
I eventually backtracked to my car then back into the woods to find 3 outta 4 of my spots... by that time I was too beat to look for the 4th
i know that i wont be doing that anymore..lol
You try finding holes in the dark!..lol :smoker:

LOL! But I know, its like you've never been there before.

I always wonder if night is necessarily safer. Vehicles are more questioned at night and flashlights will show up from a long ways away.

Last year a buddy of mine ran into a black bear face to face in the pre-dawn hrs. It really shook him up. He swears he'll never go back in the dark again.

Maybe if you put some hair around the hole it'd be easier to find.
Sorry had to do it.
Whatever you do be safe and Good Luck

Hahah yeah thats why in my Florida guerilla garden i went during the day.. always brought dog with my and took him on "walks" in the woods :)
things grow wild outdoors and plants change a lot lol I had a hard time recognizing the massive Ganja plants after 2+ months!

Going in at night is definitely tricky. Even pre-dawn can have the same issues.
What I've found is that i can get just as much done if I get to the entrance area right as the sun is coming up as if i get there an hour or two before.

Had an experience last year finding very fresh bear tracks on my path going the same way as me at about 4am. It shook me up to the point that I walked right by my spot by about a 1/4 mile in fairly dense woods and had to backtrack out while being paranoid of every animal noise I heard.

GPS phone is a bad idea IMHO. I take my battery out of my phone while going to spots so my GPS location can't be recorded (if you leave the battery in, your phone can be turned on remotely). have used an actual GPS in the past, but it didn't have deletable paths or waypoints, so that got canned too.

Compasses and landmarks are your friends.

man, one year ago, made same stupid mistake, but a little funnier..me and my friend, went in the woods at 2 am for planting 4 plants..but we were so retarded and smoked some shit before...maaan so cool trip that night, found the spots in about 2 hours, another hour for planting 4 plants :))..we werent lost in the woods, we didn;t know where are we all that time..no clue where the spots could be, high as shit, walking through bushes like dogs, can't find a shit..i remember that we enter the forest, walking for about 5 minutes and we couldn't find the way back..i said then : wow , this will be a cool night :))

scary enough being lost in the woods during the day, not to mention at night. Had my share of expieriences being disorientated while scouting spots, not fun at all haha
