hey dao - yeah the buds on the chem are pretty chunky for a small light. they would likely be bigger under my 250 hps but im very happy. its a good number of even-ish colas too which is always at the expense of that 'centrefold' cola

so the chem is chugging along, 51 days, i believe chem goes 9-10? as ive mentioned before though the spectrum in this light seems to be speeding up flowering a little.

and the heri got chopped today, hard to say exactly the flowering time but its between 8 and 9 weeks.

replaced the heri with a pre 98 bubba which has been slowly vegging, wedged into my mum cab for the last 8 weeks. i would have dearly liked to veg it a bit but it had to go straight to flower as the chem is in there. i took the risk of changing the lighting 'phase' too so daytime is now 12 midnight till 12 midday, i have been running the lights in the day during the winter. hopefully the chem D wont mind too much in the last couple weeks of flowering. i thought it the lesser of 2 evils really. bad idea??

I know that a lot of people who grow Rez's gear have issues with females throwing male flowers, which is usually put down to light leaks. Dunno about the clone though....thats the Chem D right? Did you give her 24hrs of night or day?

dao, i guess it missed out on day rather than night, becuase i switched the timer about 4 hours into the day, i figured at 7-8 weeks not too much could go wrong and was preferable to changing the timing on the bubba in 2 weeks when the chem has finished. its the chem D clone. lets hope i dont regret it.

itgrows. my blueberry cut has only produced nanners once in about 5 runs - and that was late in flower - a few on the tops when they had grown too close to the light and i had to bend them over in mid flower. any strain with thai genetics will have the capacity to produce nanners - in fact just about any strain will really.
i now try to do all my training in early flower and let them grow unmolested mid-late flower

it looks like i will get a decent seeds harvest of the Cherryjuana cross i made. i popped on out of the bud yesterday and it looked nice and mature. perhaps i'll donate some to the server fund but i would like to see how it grows out first... my next round in the cab is already booked up but after that i'll be popping some for sure - quite excited about this cross.

Very nice with the LED. Good luck with the Bubba. I grow an unknown kush that has that coffee fuel kush smell that bubba has and I love it.

hey hazy, the chem is pretty ponging, tbh ive tried not to take it out of the cab for very long so as not to stink the house out. i wouldnt say it smells any more than the cheese or my blueberry cut - just different.

the heri yielded 39grams which works out to about 0.75 gpw - which is ok i guess for a low yielding strain. i got a lot of cheryjuana seeds though which i was hoping for - easily 200 of them - so that will have cost the plant some bud yield for sure. havent samped the heri yet - perhaps tonite - but it gave up some rock hard nugs.

You seem to have most of the best current US strains in your UK attic VerdantGreen. I have thought of getting that ChemD, pretty expensive tho. They sold out of the Herijuana in a few days at my dispensary, never seen it again.

i think the chem D will come down thursday at 65 days, it looks pretty ready to me. the pre-98 bubba has filled out nicely too in its first 2 weeks in the cab. not sure exactly what will be joining it in there yet...
