What sort of scissors do you use for trimming buds?

Is it better to use cheaper scissors that you can chuck out, or a better more expensive pair than you can clean and re-use?

i use cheap ones to get all the big leaves and the more pricey fiskars for the real manicure. i would say comfort and function matters more than price.

You get what you pay for. Definitely something spring-loaded, after a couple hours your hands will thank you for the extra investment. I just use my hands to pluck the big fan leaves while the plant is still hanging upside down.

Fiskars Soft touch. Get atleast 2-4 pairs, so you don't have to stop and
clean the damn things all the time.

forking out? $10 isnt exactly forking out ... LOL

I have trimmed 100's of lbs with Fiskars.

One pair, a cup of alcohol to rinse them frquently, and off you guy. A backup pair is handy when you blow the tranny in it (The spring tends to break after a while)

thanks all, looks like I will be forking out for a pair of Fiskars

something like ... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fiskars-209921-Touch-Micro-Scissors/dp/B00007M9MM/ref=pd_sim_diy_1

Yoiks, that's almost twice the price we pay in the colonies... and still worth every penny. I use two pair, one soaks in alcohol while I use the other. Trimming all night long as I do, you'll appreciate their quality. The only "problem" is the slide lock sometimes locks itself while in use.

Whether these or others avoid anything with fingerholes. Unless you actually prefer working with blisters.

Fiskars FTW.
I fork out a few extra bones for the Titanium Nitride coated ones, too.

Regardless what brand you use, spring loaded is the key. The hand is meant to form a fist, not a pancake.
