What's new

What would you do - more light or less heat?

Would you put a 600w HPS to go along with a 730w sulphur plasma, if the temps using only the plasma unit are around 30C - and with the 600w almost 35C.

I'm afraid of mites hitting them, but then again with adding that 600w I get like 66% more light compared to only using the plasma.

I cannot install any ventilation, and summer is coming.

Should I ditch the plasma, the HPS or go with both, just keep humidity up to fight mite chance?

never used a plasma ever but a 600 should do u a good little space, 35c is too hot I veg @ 78-80 f but drop to like 75-76f for flower and for flowering it should be @ 50-55%humidity , Enstien oil or some type of neem product possible for mite prob,, good luck on your grow

ya agreed you need circulating fans @ least and or some type of ac to keep temps down or exhaust/intake system.

Without ventilation your heat and humidity will skyrocket once the plants get big and go into full flowering. That is assuming they grow enough to get big.

Assuming you have a sealed room (ie no ventilation) you could add co2 but you would still need to control humidity.

supermanlives: Check my post history for some pictures.

Right now I have the plasma and the HPS going in there, and temps are at about 30-35C (85-95F)...

RH about 44%
