Well the Iphone 4g or HD whatever they decide to call it will be released Thursday. It looks just as the one they found in the bar..
Also its exclusively on AT&T for now. same deal 200 for the 16gb 300 for the 32"white" for new contracts. AT&T is letting anyone with a contract expiring in 2010 to upgrade once the new iphone comes out. Most likly because we will see the iphone on verizon this dec.
New Specs:
• A smaller, lighter, 9m slimmer handset.
• Front facing Camera
• A five-megapixel camera with flash.
• Aluminum ring that improves reception.
• Ceramic backing
• Micro-Sim cards.
• The same A4 processor as the iPad (that means a much faster phone).
• A larger, sharper screen at 960 x 640 pixels - increasing screen resolution by four times. 326 dpi
• 40% Improved battery life.
• iChat software will enable video chat with other 4g iPhones "wifi only"
• Two models: 16GB and 32GB.

Is it really going to be that long?
I just switched carriers and one of my biggest gripes was that I couldn't bring my iphone over. I loved the damn thing, only thing I didn't like was the touch keyboard... Man I wish AT&T wasn't so horrible. That new one looks sick!!

Yeah I think I read November but thats speculation too. So far though the speculations have been right. Now I agree the best combo would probably be verizon and the iphone.
But here's a few things I battled with and decided to get the new one now on at&t than wait for verizon.
#1. I have an unlimited data plan with at&t now. now at&t ditched that plan Monday. if you have it though you can keep it. Now neither verizon or at&t offer an unlimited plan. So to keep this I must stay.
#2. the new iphone is being released first on at&t then hopefully "for your sake" verizon. get used to this, sure at&t lost exclusive rights but I bet theres a 6 month exclusive rights to the new phones every time. AT&T will use this to keep the true die-hard iphone users like me who refuse to wait the 6 months for the verizon version.
#3. My plan expires in DEC. I can get a new iphone now for 200 bucks. I am American.

Yeah I'm actually paying way more now than I was on AT&T.... I really wish I was in the same boat as you but unfortunately where I live AT&T has mega spotty service (and this is in no way the middle of nowhere, let alone if I travel out in the boonies!). I just couldn't put up with it anymore and caved... Sucks being a 1/4 mile from home and getting no signal.

Apple will never let you sheeple have a phone with options like a removable battery.
4G? AT&T is so far behind in the 4G game. They made a desperate attempt to buy T Mobile so they could claim a 4G network.
I've been rocking 4G speeds for over a year on my Sprint Evo.
Unlimited data bitches. Do AT&T or Verizon do that? And I don't drop calls on Sprint.
I love seeing you sheeple line up at the Apple Store to take it in the ass. The cost of being fashionable.
Make sure you hold your precious iPhone 4 the correct way.

i've done several as have some other family members. worst possible scenario is you have to reset it through iTunes, but i've never had that issue...
