The Locker

So, I have dabbled with different setups, fluoro, hps digital, inline fans, outdoor, etc.
The fluoro was not enough, and 600W digital was too much, etc. Then a long break.

We shall now take a shot with a 150W HPS, with internal ballast made by Sun System. On 24/7.

For now we have a simple 3 speed fan for some air movement. I believe I will introduce a fan to evacuate the air from inside, a squirrel cage type soon.

Temps are between 25, never more than 30 celcius.

The goal here is to get some personal. I don't like purchasing.

The medium is Pro-mix bx.

8 Northen Lights X Buddha
8 Northern Lights X Skunk both from seed.

8 days in (nothing much to see as of yet), they've been put into pro-mix, and into "The Locker".
This will be a SCROG.

Thanks, I was planning to see how they go for a few days, and then play with the light distance. I would like them to stretch somewhat, transplant into larger containers, and introduce the screen. I would also like to have the exhaust fan in before I move them closer. Replace the air circulation fan to maybe something smaller, faster?

150W, ;-)

looking good are you using pro mix bx only?? I just started a pro mix bx grow myself

I am, just the bx. I've never used anything added to it, aside from water. Works out great, never had an issue.

I use about a gallon per month that the plant will be in there. So... ex: 1 month veg + 2 months flower = 3 gallon container. Never hurts to do more.

I've found that my seedlings take about a month and a half to show definitive sex under 18-6. I'll bend em and start training long before then, Once I've weeded out the males, I vege another month or so, all the while training to maintain canopy. I try to get my plants out to a 2x2' footprint when finished in SCROG.

Not sure about your dimensions of your locker, but I'd wager just one of my larger plants would take up the whole area! (I don't do many smaller plants on the Screen as it doesn't really seem to increase yield on a small plant, they are better suited for SOG)

Looking forward to seeing what you wind up with! :D

Day 37.

I gave up on some, added a smaller/faster fan.
Soon I will replant into larger containers, and add the exhaust. :tiphat:

Day:41.

Thank you killerweed,
Supposedly promix attains the perfect ph by itself, so no ph adjusting or testing needed. Otherwise I would not use it. I really shy away from anything ph related, I cannot tend to my garden to often. I think It was just more the medium amount, they were stunted thus so small, but they were eating. the roots were very dense at the bottom of the containers.

I am sort of slacking on this all. I will work harder ;)

So I realize it is a bit of an "interesting" layout, but I thought I would go with it this time around. I was not sure where to mount my circulation fan, so I hung it, and it actually swivels on it's own, covering the whole space. Containers are a little large for the space, so I staggered them. Not the best utilization of the light footprint, but I will go with it this time. Temp never goes over 27 Celsius.

Also while I transplanted I did not realize how old these plants are. They needed more medium, more light. I have an exhaust fan, but it is working very lightly with a speed controller, to keep humidity decent.

I received some fertilizers to try out from a vendor. So I gave them a tablepoon spread out over all of them with their watering after their transplant. That seemed to really give them a big shot of green, and bring them back.

I am going to flip the lights.
