Rippers !!!!

Hi

Well i got a call from a mate of mine this afternoon telling me that he got ripped.

He`d gone out in the eve a couple of weeks ago for a drink, something he doesn`t much do anymore, and he was toasted and he enjoyed a few beers.
He came home and called the take away for some food, and was waiting for the delivery when he heard the gate go and thought that the food was there already, as he headed to the door he saw it open and said to the guy "hold on" when the door got kicked open.
Three men who anounced themselves as police told him to get on the floor, he thought oh ffs.
Then he got to thinking, in his mixed up state that they didnt cuff him, and he`s well used to police cuffs.
By the time he acted, the guys did a runner with 2 of his plants that were ready for the chop and some cuts that he had.
They also took his baseball bat and a knife he had in his bedroom.

I believe that he was targeted by someone who knows him, or at least because someone who knows him has talked.
Its not just the law we have to fear, if rippers find you they will take you.

Shit show for your mate though. I had a cu*t smash his way into my house demanding the keys to my car once. Swung a hammer at my head a few times. Not a nice experience.

No but serisously how do we beat these guys, its ok being locked down, but what about the guy with kids ? i`m on my own and got 2 dog protection, i`d hate to be a guy that gets ripped like that, like i said my mate will go on, thats the kind of guy he is, and if he finds out who did it he will be "angry" lol.
Its just a sad fact of life that we`re all vulnerable in some way, and there`s always a parasite that will explote that occasion.

hate hearing these kinds of storys security isnt something you take lightly luckily i have two dogs and enough.....tools to keep me safe if anyone was to get past the dogs.
as wity said alot of rippers are following people from grow shops to see where they live couple of things ive learnt counter survailance wise
look out for whats called shadowing

Vehicles in car parks with people inside.
Vehicles which stop or start moving simultaneously with the subject, especially those which follow behind or pass the subject and then park near by.
Any vehicle with the antenna, that differs from a standard one.
A vehicle, that signalled a turn but then did not make it.
Any vehicle that makes a turn after the subject.
Too fast or too slow vehicles.
Any vehicle that goes around the block before or after the subject stops.
Vehicles, signaling to each other by blinking headlights.
A vehicle keeping the same distance between itself and the subject regardless of speed.
Vehicles going along parallel streets with little traffic at the same speed.
Vehicles, which slow down and try to hide behind other automobiles when the subject brakes.
Any vehicle, noted two or more times in different periods of countersurveillance operation.
Any vehicle which follows the subject after he makes a U-shaped turn or turns a corner.
Any vehicle tailing the subject through a traffic circle.
A vehicle driving across a red light.
For shadowing on foot suspicious objects are:
Everyone who turns away to avoid face-to-face contact with the subject.
Anyone who shows hesitation and/or looks around before entering a building after the subject.
Everyone who crosses the street when the subject turns and goes back.
People, whoes clothes do not correspond to the circumstances.
Everyone who goes running.
The one who enters or leaves a shop, restaurant, etc. after the subject.
The one who tries to sit behind the subject or where he can see the subject easily in a restaurant.
Anyone who starts to move or stops simultaneously with the subject.
Everyone who leaves a vehicle simultaneously with the subject.

and to avoid (the fun bit)

run a red light,
drive the wrong way on a one way street, then park if get chance
while traveling on a motorwayat high speed, suddenly cut across 4 lanes of traffic and make an exit, make sure rozzas aint about though
after turning a corner, pull over and park. Take note of all vehicles passing by,
use the indicaters to your advantage: if you come up to an junction, try signaling right or left and wait until your suspects signal comes on - just drive straight through with your signal on.

couple other bits
never drive home same way twice even if takes you longer
try and borrow a car off a freind
if driving at night check back of car for luminous sticker its used to identify your car if lost in traffic

it is getting common and usually by cocky little shits walking round like there 10 men!!

if people know where you grow theres always a chance someone will try there luck , all we can do is be prepared and be ready to kick the crap out of any unwanted visitors.

What ****s! Heard of this before but so far I've been lucky. Guy I knew had a grow in his loft. One day he saw an old lady stood outside his house pointing at it and talking to a copper. He panicked and took every plant down not a trace left. Later that night bang bang bang some fellas come kick his door in. They take some convincing that there is no weed plants or otherwise left in the house so they start to taking all the lights and fans down. Just as they are up there doing that a whole different group of fellas re kicks in the door!

2 different groups of guys in ballys with bats arguing over who is taking what, he ended up with a whole set up gone and no DVDs!

my bet is atleast one lot of um was off duty pigs, that or mighty coincidence

one time I was out in dam by myself and got chatting to these guys wanted me to show um some good coffee shops, them paying of course. Seen these guys pulling out fat wads when they pay and acting abit too rude boy for my liking. Get chatting find out that they earn there money doing over grows. They put it as raiding them before the police do. Needless to say I very quickly made some excuses and left these dude with no idea where they were and diretions to the anne franc museum. WANKERS

I do feel for any Home-grower that gets ripped off. But I don't feel so bad for any Commercial-grower that gets rip-off for their crop. And I'll explain why...

Commercial Growers are in effect drug dealers. As an occupation drug dealing is an illegal activity which operates beyond the protection of the law. Now, I'm not suggesting that you have to be a thug, hustler, or gangster, to be involved in the commercial side of cannabis culture,, in fact some of the best commercial growers we ever met were just money-loving hippies. But let's not get it twisted, thugs, hustlers, and gangsters, are part of that culture.

Taxation in commercial cannabis markets is as rife as it always will be so long as cannabis is criminalized

Supply and demand though surely? You yourself have openly admitted to selling trays of clones to commercial growers. But as you rightly pointed out not all commercial growers are thugs.

If/when we play with fire ,, sometimes we get burnt. It's therefore helps to have a few safety measures in place before breaking open the box of matches.

I do hope the victim of this is OK.

Peace

Number one rule is tell nobody. Especially heroin addicts. I had two in my old flat low and behold within the week my crop had been robbed. Its very tempting to want to show people but you just can't, even people who are your friends can inavertantly tell others. Plus if nobody whatsoever knows the police arn't likely to find out. Whatever they say normally its a tip off that puts them on to people.
