Hi there blokes, hope all is well. I'm new here to the forum, i didnt know it had an Aussie section. Messed around in the general forum for awhile & found some good info. Well a lil about me, i'm a middle aged fella from vic, who has been off work for about 8 years, hahahaha (i'm not a bludger), i was sorta broken up a bit by a car, couldnt walk without a chair or crutches for 5 years,an i still have to have more ops on my leg, so i grow a bit of indoor which i use as a sedative, too much pain meds are killing my liver so i have had a lil grow going for a few yrs now, nothing like the set ups and strains/yields i see here, so im here to see if i can make my grow a bit better, thanks all and please be patient with all my silly Q's, and yes i will read and try to find the answer before posting. cheers oz

Gypsy Nirvana and AfroSheep, thanks for the welcome, and yes there is so much to take in here, i have been growing a strain which i have no idea what it is, but shows a bit of indica dom unless she gets an extra week veg then sat traits start, i just take cuttings from them and have been using the same cutting from plant for 3 years now. my problems have started about a year ago when the end yield started dropping, now i have a permanent worsening prob with fungus gnats and pythium, i think, from reading here. so the strain is hurting and yield is now 1/3 of before, with very little resin, compared to prior. i have missed so much knowledge and advice from not realising there was a big prob, but hopefully with the use of fungicide, neem oil and oxy plus i will manage it until harvest, then think of using some other medium rather than rockwool slabs, things are so advanced now compared to when my youth growing days stopped many moons ago. i also want to buy a new type of outdoor seed, to try on a bush block i have, cant beat the taste, and the beauty of an outdoor plant, sorry for rambling, cheers oz

Heya w2008, welcome to IC.
The problem you describe above about diminishing yeild could be caused by a degraded bulb. Im just guessing though cause ive never used HID. The people here will be happy to share their knowledge and supply you with the info needed to get the most out of your grow setup.

thanks clown11 but it's not a prob with the lights, the globes are prob 6-8 months old, but i run a mix of half hps and half mh, 1000w's, so there is plenty of that, day temps get to 28-30, and night is about 23-24, humidity is a bit of a prob as it is 40-50 lights off, and 70-80 with on, i am expecting to have to deal with mold soon, i have read that neem will help this tho, thanks for taking the time to help me, i will post a couple of pics tonight, cheers oz

Just wondering if you have thought about getting a dehumidifier they can be expensive but they do the job,??
Your temps seem perfect so i gather it's not an issue with your exhaust fan doing it's job properly,,,
A tip i was given is to make sure you have plenty of air-flow around your girls 2 or 3 oscillating fans usually do the trick the more the better if you ask me,, Anyway good luck with the mold m8 it's hard to deal with this time of the year i just chopped off a couple of nuggets last night that had succumbed to it...

Hey M8 welcome aboard..this thread in the cannabis infirmary is well worth a look if you got problems: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688 also the growers forums will have info on any type of grow style you may be into, this thread in the growers forums under the vertical section is well worth a look if you have 1k bulbs https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=185081 and might I suggest to you that you consider trying an organic dirt grow if you are growing for meds, organics are well worth your consideration I myself have been more than impressed with the results and also the simplicity of it..if you can't find what your looking for there is a search feature up top of threads and if you can't solve you problems yourself feel free to start a thread in the appropriate forum ,you will be surprised by how helpful and friendly the peeps here are The growers here at IC are very switch on and more that happy to help you get your grow back on track.

M8 learn how to drop pics in a post and start a thread in the hydro section and ask for some advice .fellas there will get you sorted ..but you need to drop a couple of pics of what your problem is ,I had a look at your album ..nice setup but cant work out why you think its going to shit! Cheers
