Holy shit dude that sucks.... FYI, my dog breeder friend taught me this, don't know if it works with all dogs, but if your pup has something stuck, grab their muzzle and pull it upwards so that the muzzle and neck are aligned straight.
I think you can also try massaging the neck, but the point is to react quickly and get that shit out of their throat...

Also, I think that when you feed the dogs raw chicken w/bones its somewhat safer than a tub of raw meat as they actually chew the bones... I feed the animal dry dog food with raw chicken parts once in a while as a treat
