Sour 60...

What's Good,
Just thought I'd post up my experience with Sour 60.
I ran a pack, outdoors this past year, and was disappointed with tha out come.

Out of the Twelve pack Ten germinated. I ended up with Seven males, & Three Females.

Of the Three Females Two were micro plants(only 4-5 inches, and one was a 3ft tall cola.
So I decided to open pollinate all males, with the Three Females.
Ended up with close to 300 seeds. F2's

I planted 3 seeds of the F2's, and within 24 hours all three germinated.
It turned out that I have 2 males and 1 female.

Soil...
FFOF, with added perlite, EW castings, & Bio Alive.

Nutrients...
Bio Biz Grow/Bloom, GH Flourishious, and GP Massive.

These were grown under 3) 24 watt CFL's 6500K bulbs, until sexed.
After I was able to find the lone female, I re-potted her in a 32oz Styrofoam soda cup.

She auto-flowered at about her 4th node.
I also moved her to my veg cabinet, to flower under 18 on, 6 off under 100 MH.

So here are the pics from the beginning to currently today.

she is cute but im sure she would get a lot bigger in a larger pot say at least 2 gallons.

Are these plants from the 3ft female or the others?

Thanks SGS,

I am sure they would get quite a bit bigger in larger pots, I'm limited on space, I grow in a 34 2/4 X 24 X 15 1/4 inch cabinet.

They were from all the plants mixed together.

did your sour 60's in your outdoor run stay in cups that small too untill sexed?

What up Sandnut,
The sour 60 were started in jiffy's and transplanted into a planting bed measuring 3ft X 4ft and 14 inches deep.

I think I know what your trying to get at though,
If they get root bound it will make them start flowering.
So I'm sure that wasn't tha case.

Peace,

Nice thread mang. Looks like u got way better results than i did with sour 60 under similar light. I geuss you win the competition ;), what was the ratio for your soil mix. I use FF soil aswell and topdres with worm castings. but my soil mix gets a lil dense so im just wondering how much perlite to add.

I just started some seeds now to do a quick seedrun before the outdoor season. Im gunna be crossing the best male i get of sour 60 with females of all the strains i have. Should give me a good variety of smoke. It'll be interesting to see how much of the auto trait carries over. Im really looking forward to hashberry x s60.. bet that'll produce some nice aromas.

Sour 60 x Rasberry Cough eh, that sounds like its gunna be quite the cross. Hopefully the RC will bring the potency up and the sour 60 lowering the flowering time. Will be intresting to see.

Stay high mang

Bigger pots make the difference but you need more light for hitting big yields imho.
You can surely have good results in small setups with autos but the best results i've seen on autos indoor are all under 400 HPS or so.
Now someone will pop up with a pic of a giant bush under a single CFL but thats ok :)
Will you run your F2 outdoors? Thats my favourite playground ;)

Peace

What's Good Krull,
Thanks for stopping by. I know that if I used larger pots the yield would greatly improve.
I grow in a small cabinet, so I just wanted to pop a couple seeds of the Outdoor F2's and see what the potential is.
As for running some outdoors this year, It's a good possibly I might do a dozen or so.
My main Outdoor Grow, will be all Top Shelf Clones.
