I am impressed with this strain too...the buds are already heavy and there's at least 25 days left

..she is one of the heaviest feeders I've ever seen too....
Hey micro420guy!! thanks!! I top feed so all the old crap in the soil gets cleansed every new water/feeding..she drinks up 3-4 litres of water/food every second day..its a wide, flat tub so evaporation is quick..
the container I'm using is a flat 12 litre tub I got from WallyWorld..so 3-4 gallons of soil can easily fit in even with an inch of aquarium gravel at the bottom..hope this helps my friend :wave:

I even adapted the lid as something to collect runoff..
I'm putting on the back and drilling all the 4 to 4.5 inch holes today...drilling a big hole through 3/4 inch MDF isn't the easiest :comfort:

..lol...man it takes 20 minutes for 1 hole :bigeye:

Hey BC it sounds like your hole saw (if that's what you're using) is fried if it's taking that long! It's a good idea to go very slow with a hole saw, if the drill has a low speed use that (with a new saw) or ease off on the trigger and make it go slow....If you go at top speed the saw will burn up quick, then you basically burning through the wood instead of sawing....

You're doing a great job on the new cab so far! Can't wait to check out the finished product bro

...slow and steady wins the race from now on Chomp! The hole bit is brand new...it was me ramming it into the MDF....I've gotta quit toking so much before I work on the cab :comfort:

Sounds like you're having a tough time. If your hole cutter is sheet metal with hack saw-like teeth, holding it perfectly plum bottoms out and doesn't cut effectively. The cutter gets hot and is much less effective. If you're using a hand drill, you can carefully rock the cutter a degree or two off plum and the cutter will bite. Obviously you can't continue even at that slight angle variation for more than a moment. If needed, alter the angle variation to the opposite side of the hole, evening out the variation. Not unlike balancing a wheel on the hub when you have a flat. This is not likely to leave you a compromised hole because wood tolerances are much more forgiving than metal.

The adjustable hole cutters don't have this problem because it's harder to hold em perfectly plum. Slight hand tremors are enough to keep the bit biting vs stalling. These are a bit more dangerous, especially with a hand drill. Watch them knuckles.

EDIT: You may already know this. If your hole cutter has a center bit, you can cut half way through on one side, flip the board and finish the hole on the other side. This keeps the cutter from chipping the mdf.

Thanks for the help Disco!! It cut alot better...another problem was that its 3/4 inch MDF which is thick stuff..I used 1/2 inch for the back and front door which was easy-peasy to cut

Today's Day 42 of bloom and the end of week 6...she's slower but the buds are exploding everyday :jump:

I also worked my butt off on the cab so here goes with lots of pics :artist:

thats my tv remote..there are 2 buds that shot up taller than the others but I let them go...nummy :blowbubbles:

I'm using the PVC meant for inline vacuums...its bigger and has better airflow...

ready for flat black paint :jump:

I painted them flat black inside and out to reduce any light leaks...

here they are in their new home :whee:

...I also painted the underside flat black...I'm putting on the last 1 later ( had to show pics first!!) plus more elbows on all 4...

I decided

on a 3 inch intake hole for the veg compartment...you'll see why later..What I want for this cab is complete stealth hence NOTHING that will be seen if anyone looks at it..I was going to use those pipes for back intakes but they always get knocked around when I moved the old cab :comfort:

this cab, hopefully, will be totally silent when the doors shut with no scrubber like this cab...its so obvious....lol...

Today is day 45 of bloom...I'm still feeding her for this last week then water/mollasses from then on...she is really packing it on now and drinking 2 litres a day...

Hey BC,

Those sure are pretty buds. Real nice strain there. Makes me want to drop a few beans of the Mandela Safari Mix or the Nirvana Master Kush I have. Last time, I had a couple of nice sat phenos.
The new cab is gonna be killer. How did the 400 in the bake-a-round go? It's a tight fit but with the right fan, it'll work.

BC,
I bought my 4-1/2" hole saw online at McMaster Carr.

Based out of Cleveland and they ship real fast. Similar to Grainger.
115 cfm ought to be good enough for the cool tube, especially if you are using another fan for exhaust/scrubbing. I was going to suggest the S&P TD100X as a good match for the light. Similar cfm ratings.

I'm running out of things to build on my cab due to the drill bit crap but now thats started...I also built a DIY louver for the veg compartment so pics tonight!!
