What's new

10K Maxibloom

Ok so I guess it's safe to say that arid=resin while humid=bulk. Balancing the two throughout the flower cycle is just another one of the art aspects of growing I suppose.

I've been making my transition to hydro and it has been going quite well. Running two aero cloners as well as some DWC and they are bringing huge smiles to my face. I'll be making appearances in the hydro section soon. :joint:

growing is scientific and and balancing act for sure, but the best way of growing is by listening to your plants.. have a good "foundation" of knowledge and then try things. what "works" for one may not work for another...

there is too much involved for anyone to perfectly list what a plant needs when it needs it and so on..

less light at the beginning of flowering while hormones are changing, low humidity when calyxes are swelling not before, rotating plants, light movers, more more more
are all about personnal experience and personnal choice..

keep your head up. listen to peoples opinions, keep an open mind, keep the knowledge you want too, and scrap the rest.. my dad always said your dont have to do what i say but at least listen to what i say..

growing is all about having fun, and about not having to buy weed anymore.. probly about money and other things too, but dont turn it into a job. you gotta try new things and enjoy what your doing, dont get tied down and tired out by all the haters, and retards the internet has too offer..

hope you get a crazy huge harvest bro, keep it up the next one will be bigger and better no doubt..

just too add,, in my pics you can clearly see that my bud was resin covered and that was in the 5 week only with NO changed hairs on those pics.. and like said high temps and high humidity..

cheap ass setup. second hand everything, 10000btu of ac only, 1500cfm air echange, and it was still a 1.5# per lamp grow of quality..

if everyone wants too keep wasting cash on perfect environment control when your skills arent perfect. they should concentrate a little more on bettering themselves insted of buying unnessesary equipement, and blaming there shitty crops on not having the best of the best...

but thats once again JUST MY OPINION take what you want scrap the rest..

haha jesus, Greencoast makes their own nutes now?

Just read this thread beginning to end. How is shit going now? Feel for you on the mites, they sure love Cali.

Haha yea and they've got a million reasons why it's the best. It's got calmag and some chelated shit, works pretty well in veg for my dwc. I'll do a side by side one of these days.

Shit has been a little hectic for the past hour..my fucking ac was covered in ice and the temps were like 84. I'm lettin her thaw though.

I'm gonna start choppin master tuesday and give the nice another week as long as it can survive mites(barely any on them) and maybe chop the tops.

Hopin for 8 but I'll be happy with whatever I get. :joint:

I think I used it around week 6 at 175ish ppm and nothing else. My buds are pretty fat so yea I think it might deserve some credit. Smokin on some purple master now, very bomb. Dreading my PG&E bill, they billed 30ish dollars for my first two months so I'm assuming I'll get hit hard(>5k) this month. Or maybe not :joint:

Really loving hydro. I put 6 buckets around this 65w cfl that throws hella light. I bored easy so the faster pace/impressive growth keeps me excited for now. Still gonna keep my mothers in soil though.

Speaking of mothers does anyone know how to spot a good Soma Lavender? I've got like 8 phenos and not too sure which should get chopped up the most.

Pulled about 13, quite a surprise. Considering I had light mite webbing, lockout issues, and high heat/humid. Luckily in the last few weeks I got everything under control minus the mites. Overdrive really saved my yields it seems. Waited till around 9 weeks. Wet trimmed, mostly alone.. and hung in my garage that stays around 60% humidity and 65F with a 1kw heater.

Impressed with the smell of both. Master purpled a little on some plants thanks to my 68 degree day temps. 'Gas" smoke and taste. Mmmm. 5 of her so like 1.25p per 1k.

Purp nice is very fluffy with nanners :) Also found a few immature seeds but I'm not stressin. Smell is like like those grape lollipops attached to rope and so is taste. Makes a reg swisher taste like a 'grape' swisher but not like a crappy grape swisher. Not strong like the master. High is nice brings a good tingle to the back of my head. Patients love it. Seasoned stoners love the master. Damn I can't decide what to roll.. I'll cop the camera cord soon..money kind of tight.

Removed all 4x8's and tables. Removed the 10" hepa filter and airflow has increased dramatically. Damn it..oh well. Veg is lookin beautiful, 6 in 5 gal Dwc, 15 or so in 10 gallon smart pots. The canopy takes up about an 8x10 space and sits under 3k halides in the magnum hoods. Runnin co2(1100ppm) and keepin the temps around 78. I would go higher but I don't want my bucket temps to get high. Used roots organic with 30 to 40 percent fox farm chunky perlite. Watered with great white.

I used avid to get rid of all mites and it kills them like no other. I also want to use either banner maxx or eagle 20w for pm prevention. I'd really like to get the eagle as I read its less toxic but I bet the maxx will be out of the plant by harvest too.

i highly suggest keeping the temps as low as possible , hydro grows do not like hot temps

good luck

ps that power bill is a bitch ernt it..it can make you upside down in the grow if not done right

That 24.5k window AC is 220v right? I think all window AC's that big are. How do you use the CHHC-4 with a 220v AC?

Great job by the way.

You have to make a relay in order to shut it on and off. My electrician rigged it for me so I couldn't tell you how but I bet you could find out easily via google/ic.

Thank that grow was a bitch but thanks to the high numbers involved the pull was decent. I've been leaning towards hydro lately for the ease of use and for the density and odor it adds to the nug.
