What Do You Think of This?

Long story, short...I had ''legal problems'' a couple months back. I live in a small town, thus a large fish in small pond scenario. Without getting into too many details...I had a bad ending to a relationship and it was broadcast all over town, to whomever would listen, all my affairs. This was to an extent that LEO's came to my house over reports of my ''growing and selling drugs.''

I somehow overcame all that and have kept a low profile. I moved out of that county and tried my best to keep out of it...Until this afternoon.

I was in a truck with a buddy. We were pulled over because of the height of his rear bumper. I had two blunts on me and tossed them under the seat. Immediately after passing this cop, we were pulled over. My personal feelings are we were pulled over the second the cop saw me.

Anyway, we were pulled and almost instantly after passing him. He asked to search, which I would never consent to. My buddy authorized it so they found my blunts. I owned up to them being mine. Cop radios in, talks awhile at a distance and comes back. He comes back and says we're free to go...

Now I may be a paranoid delusional but I'm convinced the reason he let us go was to ''keep an eye on me'' and they're hopeful I'll lead them to bigger and better.

What do others here feel?

I hope you're right. I've been enjoying some OG HazexSkunk#1. Hopefully it's a simple matter as that.

I have a fairly bad record. I grew up in this area, was well known here 20 years ago. I came back and layed low until the said bad break up. Cops in this area aren't known for ignoring this sort of thing. I've just had a bad vibe all day over this.

I should add, this is a small, hick town with every other truck sitting 4' off the ground. Most of my friends own such trucks and rarely have had a problem being pulled over.

But you said you moved out of county right?

So you really just need to stay out of there for good, and if you do have to come back for some reason, don't have anything bad on you, or be willin to eat a joint.

Small tight towns are real hard like you said because word spreads so fast. Obviously the cops know who you are and you are lucky that you aren't dealing with shit from them.

My advice would be to keep doing ur thing out of county, and stay away and low profile as possible.

Why would the cop be mad at you for giving him some free weed?

He might have been fresh out! :joint:

That may very well be the scenario that played out. As I said, small town and I grew up with 1/4 of the cops there and the prosecutor. I probably know more than I should...

Still, I've had a bad vibe about this. To make matters worst. I had them raid my house. Nothing was found and it was obvious ''somebody'' f'd up...Obviously that person wasn't myself. I was probably too arrogant at that point but that's another story, best left for another day...

It's a powder keg at best. As Headiz said, I try my best to stay out of that area but today was inevitable. First time being there after ''The problem'' and this was the result!

damn your parinoid as fuck.....2 blunts arent worth their trouble...they let you go because its just a waste of their time to write up the paper work for a stupid violation. Your all good in my opinion

Either ticketing you for possession or letting it slide would have no impact on whether or not they could keep an eye on you. A grower is going to get spooked either way, and giving you ticket would actually appear more like business as usual. I would imagine that if they wanted to keep an eye on you they would just try to go about their business as usual and ticket you.

Stay on your toes, but thats just good advice any time. Be safe.

Did he even run your ID Jack? Did you personally recognize any LEO there? I think you're ok... unfortunately paranoia is a part of our security.

They didn't run my ID. I know about 80% of the department by sight and I assume they know me. They did run my buddy's name and tag. As Charger said. This town has never been known to just ''overlook'' this sort of thing.

When the break-up fiasco happened. My ex told the whole town my business. She was even nice enough to make matters far worse than they ever were. I had about 300-350 plants. Her tale was I had about 1000! They came multiple times but found nothing.

For the size of town this was, the ordeal was huge. Looking for my 15 minutes of fame. I watched the news. Nothing was ever mentioned. I read the paper and no mention of it was ever written. That alone spooked me and made my mind run rampant. I stayed in that town for a couple weeks before I could move. Any time I left the house, I saw a cop.

Maybe it is paranoia..Either way, I'm not going to do anything for awhile.

Its probably paranoia, but you definitely have good reason to be paranoid if you ask me. Do you have the ability to move away? I imagine paranoia is going to follow you everywhere as long as you are near that place.

I live about 30 miles away now, in the next county. The city I'm in now has far more important things to do and I'm an unknown here. Once all the original crap went down. I moved.

Putting it under the seat was stupid. If you can't ditch it without being seen, keep it in your pocket. If you were riding with me and put it under my seat, I'd be royally pissed. You wouldn't do it again.

Your break-up with your SO put you on the radar of the local LEOs, in large part due to the "a woman scorned" scenario. Your small town experiences have raised your "situational awareness", which has helped to heighten your sense of paranoia.

But your moving into the next county over and 30 miles away has not removed you from potential trouble -- LEO's do share info from 1 jurisdiction to another. [Google "Fusion Centers and DHS" -- the DHS has plans for over 1,700 of these nation-wide, and they aren't just for the War on Terrorism.]

You also made a monumentally bad move in not ditching your blunts before you got stopped, and you have placed your friend at legal risk, a big no-no. I think you should not only break down your operation and chill out for a few months -- I think you should consider relocating farther away, maybe even out-of-state. Plus, a recommendation: don't grow where you live, or don't have friends over, and more importantly tell no one what you're doing, especially a SO.

The cop maybe felt bad for you because of the bitch you broke up with and didn't want to make your life more miserable, in small towns sometimes cops are a little friendly but not all the time or most of the time.
