Just a small update to show i'm still alive and kickin.
3rd week flower today.
Things are going smoothly, nice and big. Afghan kush, i notice any branch that doesnt get light just dies!!! so been pruning too.
had to tie up everything because of stretch !!

Funny how all these bulbs are HPS but the 600watters seem white..

Naturally the plants lean towards the lights.

I understand your going for weight but have you ever thought about throwing some metal halides or ceramic metal halides in there for some spectrum? 10 lbs of SUPER frosty bud sounds great eh? lol

ONCE again, this grow is a non-airconditioned grow. In fact none of my grows has had the liberty of aircondition.
The room does reach 95-100 in some areas, but thats not an issue, i think these strains actually take it pretty well! because i mean some australian summers we get like 100 degrees for 7 straight days outside!

Has anyone done 2 grows similarly with and without aircon? i wonder how much extra it really gets you...

Well technicaly only the middle bit is vertical, the horizontal bulbs are only there cos i could fit them there

I do have a few 1000MH's but i understand they give out less light. I did use them in my previous grow but didnt notice much difference.. ATM i'm trying to achieve as much GPW as i can.

Hello.
25 days into flowering.
Some photos! these photos may appear small because im using an ultrawide 10mm lens!

This is probably the fattest cola i've ever grown! looks small in the photos! Its probably 3-4inches wide easily! Its on the MAIN stem thats why its so fat!

This poor bugger got too close to the light. It burnt the top so decided to grow out sideways.

Excuse the dodgy electronics.. This is behind the very back trees. Theres pretty much no lights here but theres still buds growing!!!

Even branches on the VERY bottom are growing out buds! The lights are like 10 inches above them.

Most of the buds are this size.

The size of them plants when you put them into flower should be out of control, have you used superbud, bushmaster or double bud the buds sertainly look like they have had one of the additives mentioned?

I used to use superbud until it was discontinued I then found double bud same shit dif can...

If you could get that temp down it sure would help with swelin your buds up....

I had like 100 ml's of resinator which i used but i dont think it did anything.
I just started using Cash Crop Instant Karma a few days ago so hopefully we see some change in a week.

laylow, i used a little bit of rock juice, like 1ml/L instead of the recommended 3-5.
I had to stop the stretch,

Do you always use it to stop the stretch in your grows.... i used to use it for SOG grows where i didn't want the plants getting any taller than 24 inches.... if i was growing tree's like you are i prob wouldn't bother with it and just put the plants into flower a little smaller so that stretch is used for bud sites

Nope! This is the second time i've used it. I wasnt sure how fast the rock was going to work, otherwise i might have grew them a bit higher.
I worked out how much $$$ of nutes i spent on this room and i think it was like $500-600.
I go through 200 Litres every 3-5 days.

Heres some stuff i used if anyones interested.
A + B
Cash Crop Cobra (beneficial bacteria and fungi) , which i really just wanted for the mycorrhiza.
Aminozym
Silica
Cash crop Instant Karma
Potash
And 1ml/L of rock juice in first week only.



Anyways here are some more photos. Pretty much 4weeks and 1 day since 12/12.

Its autumn here. Hopefully i wont have too much budrot. I'm using silica, but i dont know how much it'll help.
The bubblegum actually handles the bigger buds really well. The Afghan is so dense naturally

Dont you find its the stretch inhibitor you are using that is doing that to the buds rather than the actual strain or environment? i found that with pretty much any strain other than sativas it made buds dense as fuck that looked identical to the ones you are growing....

fancy a little vert sog run might give a small space a go....

Yes it does make them dense.
What i meant to say was naturally the afghan kush is already dense, so using the rock juice on them is just asking for budrot later.
The bubblegum naturally isnt as dense. So I didnt get much budrot with bubblegum in my previous grow besides the giant ones.

I wouldn't have used Rock if the plant wasn't so big already. I actually had 3lbs+ the first time i grew a single bubblegum.

The only reason i'm using rock is because the buyers / fellow growers etc are telling me to do so. Maybe its accepted in Australia
