Extra dark is never a problem. Also what kind of timer do you have that it automatically adjusts for daylight savings?

How can they be getting an "extra few hours" of darkness? Clocks are only adjusted one hour? :D

Minimum 12 hours if darkness is what you want. Anything over that won't ruin your grow.

Uhhh, correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't they still be getting the exact same amount of light/dark even if you didn't change the timers?
they will just be starting/stopping an hour earlier then the house clocks that were changed say.
Exp, timer says it's 8pm, daylight savings adjusted clock says it's 9pm, but the lights will still switch on and off the same as they have been.

I never adjust my timers for daylight savings. The plants are getting the same time.

daylight savings is twice a year, so you never need to adjust them.. you can though if you want,

the lights are just gonna turn off an hour before or after, and adjust your timing to that

Nature does not run on exactly 12/12. Besides an extra hour here or there is not big thing--I have extended the daylight in flower an hour or so I could finish my gardening (usually for unanticipated pest management) and things are fine. Some grow at 13/11 interval--but I wouldn't.
