Haze Breeders/Growers....

One thing with SSH, every time I grow they they get bigger and bigger. This one is gonna be a fat yielder but looks like its gonna be another 20 weeker. I got this pretty lady knocked up with some Sour Diesel pollen, should be interesting.

I was recently gifted Afghan Haze, Pakistan Haze, Pakistan Chitral Haze. I have never grown any haze before that I am aware of. Any tips. They all came up out of the ground real fast. They are about 10 days up. So far no probs a tiny yellow on a couple tips but I think that will clear when the nutes start up. Have tried to grow Trainweck 3 times but not one seed germinated. Maybe one day I'll try it again.

The yellowing on the tips are because (as I have found over the years now growing Haze, Mexican and other extreme Sativa's) Haze plants really don't need heavy nutes. I barely use any nutes when I grow my HillBilly HAZE and Mexican plants.

I hope that is helpful and best wishes with your Haze grows. Post pictures if you get a chance.

:thank you:

Iron_Lion,

How much medium are you growing your plants in? What is your expected yield per plant?

That big SSH is in a recycled shopping bag and I think it holds about 6 gallons of soil.

Hard to tell on the yield, the last 20wk SSH I had yielded 3.25oz but got all messed up around 13wks. This one is much larger, started budding sooner so I think or at least hope it will be more, so maybe 4+ if it ever fills out. It's on week 12 right now and its still all white hairs, it's almost too large for the light, so I rotate it daily to get the most out of it. When this one is done Im taking a break from long flowering hazes for a while.

Are the results not worth the time / space?

To me the results are out of this world, the best things take time. In most cases trying long flowering sativa's is hard to experience unless you grow it yourself, no cash cropper would touch this stuff, not that it wont earn its keep just because they dont have the patience. So if you ever get one, give it her time, finish her properly and share her with your best friends. Sativa growing is a dying art, so grow it, smoke it, share it and spread the word.

The problem is summer is coming and it would be nice to take some time off and re-arrange the grow space and I wont be able to do so if I get stuck with another 20 weeker. I will have to resume my search for my perfect SSH male and female next fall.

Off topic, I just just puffed some of my own haze creation, OG kush x Mr Nice SSH, and holy shit it is some strong herb.

I thought that looked like a shopping bag but I didn't want to mention anything in case it wasn't. Still all white hairs at 12 weeks, yeah that one is going to be a long one. Please continue to keep us updated.

Here's a couple of pics of my blackberry haze @ 7 weeks. This cross has a great pole structure that would rock in a s.o.g. setup. Had to do a bit of LST'ing on some of the others, as she stretches a bit early on in flower.

Thanks bigherb. I know you love the haze...I'm looking forward to comparing the Tom Hill with the Ace as well. I would possibly like to cross the two and play around with the mix. Seems Ace is more old school with Tom's being more worked. I'm about 35 deg. parallel. Need a cover during the winter months for these long legged ladies. They produce pretty well even with only 3-4 hours direct sun a day. I'm sure they would be monsters in full sunlight.
