Bleach ...mild disinfectant ??

Hey there.

I,ve heard some good things about bleach as a mild disinfectant .
Thought it might prevent the rootrot that i,m getting lately in my aero cloner.
Also for seedlings and cuttings in rockwool(for good measure)

Diluted some bleach(3.7%) @ 2ml /5litre and used for washing and cleaning my earo-cloner / rez and utensils.

and added a little bit of bleach to the water that i,m using for earo cloning . (mounts to +- 0.5ml/5 litre)



Any thoughts and comments ?

How much bleach to add to the hydro rez for light disinfectant.

I,ll probly go with 1ml/5 litre(even less) to be safe

I use bleach at 1-2ml/gal in my res, added every 2-3 days. I don't even measure anymore, I just pour it in until the res smells lightly like a swimming pool. Don't use bleach if you're using beneficial microbes obviously..

and to answer the OP, wipe everything down with a bleach solution and then run the system with a strong bleach solution for an hour or so, and then let it dry.. good as new.

But i,m torn between these two diluted suggestions .! Anybody with a middle ground suggestion....dont wanna go too strong or too weak ....eeek

Krunchbuble, who I trust and respect his knowledge, swears by Bleach. I believe his recommendation is 1 ML per 10 Gallons for maintenance. 2 ML per 10 Gallons to fight an infection (like slime or root rot). Repeat every 3-4 days.

i always add 35% h202 @1.6ml/L every 2-3 days, look out for root/plant explosion. puts roots excel or any other high priced additive to shame, fo 1/100 the price,
