Long Beach-born rapper Nathaniel Hale -- Nate Dogg -- dies at 41

LONG BEACH — Nathaniel D. Hale, known in the music industry as Nate Dogg, died Tuesday, his family announced.
The rap star, born and reared in Long Beach, Calif. was 41.
Cause of death is not known. However, Hale had suffered two strokes, one in 2007 and another in 2008.

I heard from some friends that know him he was on his death bed a year ago. His health problems were a combination of very poor diet and exercise and constant Alcohol use from being on the road and always partying from what I was told. You can't live off fried foods and booze with almost to exercise.

RIP nate dogg...hes been in bad shape for a few years now since the stroke. im interested to see what the local rap scene does for his funeral, since i know alot of bigtime artists are in LA right now. wuold be nice to see a big tribute concert with everyone who worked with him...
