Hi, i am back here for help to identify my continuously going on problem.. it happens every time for last 8 month with any strain.. i see same identical symptoms on new replanted clones.. they get some kind of leaf deformation, stunted growth and are not developing healthy.. i try everything to overcome it with foliar feedings and different ways to boost immune system and usually they bounce back in two three weeks.. but i still get diminished yields.. i really would love to figure out what’s actually happening.. I am starting to believe that it’s might be some sort of virus, TMV for example.. but hopefully I am wrong.. i continuously have some springtails, but I’ve been using hypoaspis miles to fight it.. any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.

here is the link to my previous post.. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=204383
I’ve had similar problems, it was exaggerated with low temperatures.. plants bounced back..

here is the questionary and pictures

the leaf deformation is progressing, at this point 20% of total plants showing it.. does anybody have an idea what might be the cause???

Well your mystery creature sure looks like an insect , and those two dark eyes are quite prominent. I searched Google Images for "springtails". A lot of the photos looked like your critter.

Can't say why your plants are doing so poorly. But since it might be a virus there is the question as to how it spread so readily. How are you watering? ... individually by hand? ... reservoir drain to waste? ... recirculating reservoir system? Did the plants do worse when switched from fluorescent to metal halide? Are you taking your own cuttings or getting your clones from somewhere else?

Guess you answered some questions with your post from five weeks ago.

"... it happens to every strain i bring in from different sources, or from clones taken by me."

"...clones look happy and then later on even before replanting all the sudden they start to look sick."

"...all plants were thrown away, room was disinfected with bleach and i am starting from scratch.. no visible bugs on this vegging plants, there are few spring tails on mother plants that are in the same room..."

Have you checked your roots for root aphids? Difficult to see. You will need a loupe.
If it is a disease, it's probably spore based. Very difficult to get spores out of your environment. You may not be able to cure it, but aspirin will boost the plants immune system enough so that you can still get a normal harvest. 325 mg of plain generic aspirin per gallon of water has saved my plants on several occasions. This really works, and you will see improvement within 48 hours if it's disease.

thank you all for advice -
RetroGrow - i don't see any root aphids.. at this point im convinced that most likely springtails are spreading some kind of disease.. i've been actually given them aspirin based on your advice i've read at some other thread.. by the way.. how often do you recommend doing it? could i just mix it in my reservoir and give it for let's say three or four consecutive waterings? basically - can i overdo it?? it seems that aspirin helps..

BongRipkenJR. - that fan looks good.. i will definitely try to find one..
