Underrated old-school strains

I have high hopes for Mr Nice Skunk #1 x NL#5. Grew the Seed Bank version in the late 80s - easy to grow, high yield, high resin, knockout stone.

just about anything that is being held in tight circles and hasn't been touched by a seed bank or pollen chucker seems to be underrated.
Seems for some if it doesn't come from a "BIG" name breeder or seedbank, then it must be bunk. I always tell folks impress me with the high, not with the name attached to the bag.

My 'old school' goat is.. & always will be Burmese.....seems to stay under the radar & is truely a national treasure...exotic at it's best :)

Did you say NL5? How about a SOG of NL5?
I have kept this cut close by for the past 18 years. It was gifted to me by a biker I worked along side when I was 25.
She is as good as it gets. If I don't give the name out to the patients they love it but as soon as I say NL5 most turn their head.

Any Sativa from the 60s and 70s. Most of these young cats don't know what a REAL sativa really is. Hell I don't even know although I would very much like to know! They are fed Blue Dream Haze and Sour Diesel as sativas and have no idea...

Classic old-school F1, an original old Afri girl (via ACE) hit with Tom's Affy line. Caught the seeds on a Seedbay Weekend Special a few years back, best seed money I ever dropped. This plant changed everything for me. Full-on energetic Sativa head, massive resin coverage, miles-deep wood/spice/onion/sage aroma and flavor, true one-hit potency (I've had to talk people down more than once), clear as a bell, lasts for hours, still bomb after 6 months of smoking it daily, all in a plant that finishes in less than 60 days. My Grail.

I consider it underrated because even though it's one of the finest all-around cuttings in my collection, and amongst my small circle of friends/patients produces the #1 most requested finished product of anything else in my garden, the clubs/collectives I supply with genetics can barely even give this cutting away. 99% of peeps immediately pass it over for anything with a type of fruit, a color, or the word 'Kush' in the name, despite the fact that the dCon blows most Nu-Cali bullshit completely out of the water. One time me and 2 budtenders tried to convince this patient to try running the dCon, even offering him a 20% discount, and he was like "nah, I think I'll go with the Blue Dream, I've heard of that".

Fucking Blue Dream... the herb I ended up giving away for free the one time I ran it, and people STILL wanted to cover my costs to take home some dCon. The Justin Bieber of weed - safe, bland and superfluous. Makes me sad...

Myakka-Gold. An old Florida Sativa, mid 80's-90's. Some phenos were lemony, and some were spicy, and some were purple. All killer. In the 90's it went up to 2k per pound I heard. And was valued at $60.00 per 7 grams , hence the name Myakka-Gold... Prolly no genetics left?
