Depends on the size. We make them anywhere from 20' to 53' with varying configurations. They start at $30K and go up from there. The Big Dog 53' is going to have 30000W of Flowering power! MWAHAHAHAHA! :D

Well the main idea of the tunnel design is to maximize the efficiency and coverage of your lights. So you make a custom reflector to fit your table size or whatever area you are trying to cover. 400's, 600's and 1000's all have been used although I don't recommend 1000's personally. The coverage area of each bulb per my tests are as follows:
400W bulb can cover 5 feet wide by 3 feet long area
600W bulb can cover 6 feet wide by 3.5 - 4 feet long area
1000W bulb can cover 7 feet wide by 4 - 4.5 feet long area
The last half a foot lengthwise from the 600 and 1000 aren't very efficiently covered but will still yield ok.
But if you are using multiple bulbs then the overlap makes up that distance no problem. So if you were to use 4000W then you could cover a 7' x 18' area efficiently.
Walls that close it all in are also key components of the tunnel. We don't grow floors, or reservoirs, or walls, etc. so let's reflect all of that back onto our plants correctly.

Now as far as the growing method, any system can be used from dirt to hydro, but I've got my best results so far from buckets and I'm gonna be starting a modified Bio-bucket system soon that should be lots of fun so I'll be sure to update you all when that happens.
Any other design questions, feel free to ask. I do this for a job so I have fun with it! Let's design you a room :D

Here's a couple pics for a reminder of the design:
