only because we use humanitarian reason while its actually to profit...

im talking from a point of seeing no profit..

i believe america needs to profit from itself and then use our surplus of wealth to help other countries learn to do the same...

edit: in a truly democratic way, they still fight in tribes because they havent been shown democracy truly advances society...

I feel our country is run by an Oligarchy. This Oligarchy is very powerful. They hide their empire behind corporations, banking institutions, puppet governments and councils. They do not care about money they care about power. They control the concept of "money" itself. They control the media so they control the information they want you to know. You can read some of their quotes and begin to see their larger agenda. "Give me control of a nations money supply and I care not who makes it's laws." -Mayer Amschel Rothschild. As long as the Federal Reserve Bank prints our money we will forever be enslaved. The Federal Reserve is the Third Central Bank of the United States. The first two central banks were owned by the Rothschild family. We are made to believe freedom has been around a long time and it's not going anywhere. But in reality, true freedom has only been around for 235 years. Before that we were serfs ruled by kings and queens! We are made to believe these kings and queens that use to rule us have disappeared and they are just figure heads now with no real power. Little do we know they are still here and they own everything. Since the Patriot Act there is no need for warrants, our freedom has been stolen. Before the American Revolution the king of England had enacted the Stamp Act on the colonies. This act meant you had to have the kings stamp on all documents, letters, books, pictures, ect. Guess how the king made sure you had everything stamped correctly. He allowed his soldiers to write search warrants on the spot. Some say this way a major reason behind the American Revolution. "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered." -Thomas Jefferson
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies" -Thomas Jefferson

america wasnt always ran by an oligarchy...

only when people were eased to sleep did the wolf come to eat...

at one time we were a free economy, only when we started to let government reach beyond they're power were "oligarchs" able to use it to they're advantage...

in a true free market they cant get into government and then write legislation that benefits them because government has no say in business....

people can self regulate as long as the frame work is there, take for example the industrial revolution... we saw an advancement in living standard like no other, and although the cost to our environment was great we learned and continue to try to do better. Not because of government but because of awareness to the problem and public pressure.... instead of legislation regulate with your pocketbook...

we lost all framework the minute we gave a private corporation to print our money. and then started taking it before we put it in their damn banks.

"The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight-of-hand that was ever invented. Banking was conceived in inequity and born in sin... But if you want to continue to be slaves of the bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers continue to create money and control credit."
Josiah Charles Stamp

and

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government."
Thomas Jefferson

Just found this article!
Hacker Group Anonymous Brings Peaceful Revolution To America: Will Engage In Civil Disobedience Until Bernanke Steps Down

The world's most (in)famous hacker group - Anonymous - known for effectively shutting down their hacking nemesis security firm (with clients such as Morgan Stanley and, unfortunately for them, Bank of America)- HBGary, advocating the cause of Wikileaks, and the threat made by one of its members that evidence of fraud by Bank of America will be released on Monday, has just launched communication #1 in its Operation "Empire State Rebellion." The goal - engage in "a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience" until Ben Bernanke steps down and the "Primary Dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately."

The Anonymous manifesto:

* We are a decentralized non-violent resistance movement, which seeks to restore the rule of law and fight back against the organized criminal class.
* One-tenth of one percent of the population has consolidated wealth in unprecedented fashion and launched an all-out economic war against 99.9% of the population.
* We are not affiliated with either wing of the two-party oligarchy. We seek an end to the corrupted two-party system by ending the campaign finance and lobbying racket.
* Above all, we aim to break up the global banking cartel centered at the Federal Reserve, International Monetary Fund, Bank of International Settlement and World Bank.
* We demand that the primary dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy, effective immediately.
* As a first sign of good faith we demand Ben Bernanke step down as Federal Reserve chairman.
* Until our demands are met and a rule of law is restored, we will engage in a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience.
* In our next communication we will announce Operation Empire State Rebellion.

im sure most of you have heard of or seen the zeitgeist movie. theth zeitgeist movement is the media arm of the venus project. which is a group dedicated to the elimination of the monetary paradigm and installation of a resource based economy where prime decision making is based on scientivic evaluation of the resources. basically science applied to government. its a pretty bold idea but at the present its the most workable solution ive seen. it eliminates 99.99% of the issues in this thread simply by throwing out the money concept.

search thevenusproject for more info.

I have seen Zeitgeist. They do have some great info in those films about how the fractional reserve banking system works but I disagree with their Resource based economy. I am a Capitalist an I believe in true Capitalism and a monetary system based on the Austrian school of economics.

Then you havnt done the math. Not to be a dick or not saying that their way Is correct. Just saying that the system as it stands cannot continue. If you play this system out it will always break cuz it's based on infinite growth. The money system is dead or humans are dead.

I couldn't have said it better myself.:tiphat: Although I think it's more fascism since the government bailed out private banks and private car companies, oh and lets not forget Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Huge, check out this documentary it will give you a better Idea of how this mutant form of capitalism came into existence. The repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act by the Clinton administration allowed for all the credit default swaps and the trillion dollar derivatives bubble. Glass-Steagall prevented the merger of commercial banks and investment banks. Thats why you began to see these new mergers like Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, ect.

i get wha tyou guys are saying. i have been passionate about this subject for about 12 years now. what im referring to is eliminating the monetary system altogether. Why you ask. because it has an inherent flaw of stratification. this stratification leads to artificial scarcity to create demand. this stratification is the root cause of most social issues. all decisions made in a monetary systems are made with money as the overiding factor. in a resource based economy decisions are made using the sustainability, and quality of life as the overriding factor.

in a monetary system everyone bows to money. in a resource system everyone bows to the scientific laws of nature. im not saying this resource based economy is the end all solution. it does have holes however it is the closest thing to a real paradigm shift that i have seen. what i am certain of is that any system based on money is doomed to failure regardless of the "ism". it will be looked at as a blip in history should we survive the transition.
