What's new

WTF do you call this???

I'm new to this, but I've read a lot and looked at a million photos. I've learned most of the terms and even had my own nanners already. Could someone give me the technical term for this and let me know if I should expect to see it again. Perhaps I missed a day of class when this was covered. Thanks!

I call it Mariah cause it looks like the wind blew it off course. Other than a somewhat uncommon mutation, I don't know if it has a technical name but, it's nothing to worry about.

I wasn't worried. It has a smaller sister on another leaf. This plant is just starting to bud out, so each of these might produce enough to actually smoke. Just wondered if it was that uncommon.

Is there also a bud forming at the base of the leaf at the plant stem, or is it just displaced to the leaf as in the pics?

I wonder how that will fill out way out there.

I have seen this a couple times. Just a very uncommon deformation. That is great if you get a bud big enough to smoke though! Please follow up with a leaf bud smoke report haha

Hahaha, this is great, never seen anything like this before! I wouldn't know what to think if I saw this happening on one of my plants. Thanks for sharing, dude! Stay safe.

Rare... very cool looking man. Looks like a piece of jewelry, like a broach or something. Thanks for sharing Whip and Hammer :good:

wonder if you could somehow breed this into a plant...imagine a whole plant covered in these...

Maybe a little weird hermi mutation? Pollen sack cluster that has pistils? Just a random thought. I couldn't really say as I am a newb aswell.

I have only seen this once first hand, but it does happen.
Kind of a cool little oddity.

I agree with the others, you should do a leaf bud smoke report on it.

Just an anomoly. sometime you'll get a bud growing on the meristem where the pistil is at the crotch of a leaf stem.

as long as its a bud, no worries...just watch for nanners

Yep, I get them on my leafs too, a flowering leaf, quite bizarre.

HC - You probably don't remember me, but I have learned from you. I thank you and a bunch of other folks here for showing me the way!!!

I ran a bunch of bag weed for a test and then moved on. This AK-48 was my first harvest of quality genetics. This bud's for you and all of the good folks here. I cannot thank you enough!
