New box and Grow, CFL's

Hey there all.

Here are a few pics. You can see that the bush is growing and the buds are looking very good. There are a few leaves spotting and turning brown. Overall she is smelling very good and you can see trichs forming on the leaves.

The other clone in there is struggling to grow but has a bud forming on it. I am not expecting much out of this clone.

The other sick clone in the veg chamber is still lokking very rough. I put her in a bigger pot and hopefully she will come out.

The sprout is looking good. but hey, its a sprout!

I have been feeding the bush a Fox Farm bloom. 4 tsp per gallon and she drinks the whole gallon in a week. I just bumped it up to 8 tsp a gallon for this week and we shall see how she responds.

Hello all,

another update, all the plants have been transplanted into bigger 6 in pots and FFOF for media.

you can see the "Bush" is still growing and looking good. I trimmed it to concentrate on the bud growth. I am not sure that it is a ISS. it does not look like one, but I can be wrong. (any guesses?) it does stink. I bought a Phresh air filter and will install it later this week. (4x8)

also the other clone in flower is starting to look better after the transplant and grwong buds now

the sprout is looking good, chopped the top, waiting on branches and growth

the other clone (mom) seems to be void of mites now after a week of meds and is green and growing.

Alrighty..so i finally got the time and installed a new "Phresh" filter. I also removed 2 fans!! get this...doubles stacked the exaust and , that did it. the temps are running at 78 with lights on and 72 off. i kept the 2 small 2" pc fans in for circulation.
here are some pics.

now my problem. temps are down and i want to put the cmh back in but with the new filter, no room. i will figure this out.

I also got a Maui clone today and that is what you see in the last pic in the bottom, veg chamber. It is a little too big but I will slowly clone and crop to get the best plant for my cab.

And how is Maui??? I never tried it

ok all, i fell stupid but after reading this the dimensions were wrong on two of my post. (i was medicating)

the actual foot print is 16" wide and 15" inches deep.

I think the ft. print is about 1.7 sq ft. right?

also the bulbs are 68 watts not 65 watts, again sorry!!

and at 4200 lumens each, so 8400 lumens for the flower chamber. is this enough??

nice homie, i hope you get that heat thing under wraps. i got a 182w mixed spectrum CFL, 11,950 lumens grow under way.(26w cfl's x 7[2 soft white 1750 lumens/ea, 3 bright white 1750 lumens/ea, 2 daylight 1600 lumens/ea]) my 250w hps grow is winding down. maybe 2 more weeks left. the smaller grows for some reason are a bit more difficult but once you lock in your method, the simplicity makes it worth while... good luck fellow micro'er...

Since this is my first real grow I actually won't be disappointed in any results. I am doing this more for my knowlegde of learning the few strains I will grow and getting this box dialed in. And then hopefully all the research and all the info from this site will just increase my yeilds for the method I am restricted to use.

and yes I will be watching your grows.

thanks hippydan, this is just going to be a fun hobby and meds too. I used to do salt water reefs and corals and this is just as complex and interesting.

I have been working on how to get the cmh in there. but it will be there soon since i have the bulb now.

any opinions on the Hortilux 230 w cmh?

and I really appreciate feedback because the only way Ill get better at perfecting my cab is with the knowledge of all of you.

Haven't used/seen a CMH, although it's something thats piqued my interest and definitely want to check it out at some point.

Hey All!

it's time for another update....

"Bush" is still growing and its a sticky stinky one! glad the filter works. I did sample a smaller bottom bud, (just for kicks) and I was impressed, not a real strong high but the flavor was more minty and smooth.

It is very obvious now this is NOT an ISS but it is a good learning experience for a first timer.

It is also nice to see how much I am learning from the major differences in the first two plants.

The other flowering ISS doing well and is showing good growth since the last picture.

and the Sprout..looks good and has been topped twice. since we saw it last. (I hope is a girl)

I also aquired a Maui clone and it is in the veg chamber and growing. It is too big and lst down. I took a clone from it to try my luck. we shall see......

Marxman, everything is looking real nice. I chopped these last Sunday,yeah you can grow under cfl's. 78 Days from cuttings.

So i made the mistake of not taking a few pics and properly documented a few things. I cut the 3 main colas off the bush to sample. I was impressed for the first thing out of this cab. there was no good size compared to what I am growing now but the high was good and the flavor was a fruity sweet. I am going to chop it down after the dirt dries out. I should have gotten better pics but the 3 buds i got off it were the size of a lighter each so not too bad.

The Iss in flower now is taking off and is growing some nice buds.

The sprout is growing nicely and I cut a clone from it to see if i can sex this plant before too long. The clone went striaght into the flower chamber.

Also I moved a Maui clone up to the flower chamber to get it growing. I think I will be able to rotate 2 plants in the flower chamber to keep the supply of meds decent. we shall see.

If the Iss does end up a male. I think I will seed and ISS or a Maui just to have seeds. I seem to do better from seed than clones. (I need a good small cloner but no room here)

try some tiny rockwool cubes, cloning solution, and a domed container, or some plastic wrap.(something to keep moisture/humidity high in the container) ill take a pic to show what im talking about if youre not sure what i mean... still looking good in the zone,
