? Premature Amber Trichs

:tiphat:Hi all, I'm in week 7 of flower with a 9 week strain(sorry no pixs), growing in FF soil using Biotanicare products. My problem is that the trichs are cloudy and about 20% amber now, but the plants are not nearly done. The hairs are just starting to turn red and they have a little filling out left to do. I've grown this strain 4 times now and haven't encountered this in the past. This crop was put through a considerable amount of stress - could that account for the anomaly? I think I need to flush regardless and harvest selectively-any suggetions? Thanks

Trichomes will often turn color from physical damage of all sorts. Are the plants still putting on weight and are the NEW trichs also turning cloudy rapidly?

Well the stress was from bugs originally. This is a sativa dominant hybrid that I used to grow in flood trays scrog style, but found it impossible to treat for bugs with that dense of a canopy. I took cuttings and switched to dirt to facilitate easier treatments, which were needed, but stretched them a little too much. At 4 weeks of flower I had to do a little bending to keep them out of the lights. The plants are still taking up water and seem to be continuing to grow. How do you tell which trichs are new-there's only about a trillion lol!
