Man that PH is drifting FAST! I drift a full digit in 7 days. So its friday, If I set my PH to 5.2, Next friday it will be 6.2. Thats using close to 0 PPM RO and GH micro and bloom only.

Im inexperienced in organics, I just know what works for me and a lot of others. Its either your nutes or that water isnt as clean as you think coming out of the filters. Whens the last time you changed the membrain on the RO system?

Brand new RO system, purchased about 3 months ago :(

Alot of people have been saying things about taking out organics, but nothing in my nutes is organic haha.

Anyways, I think im just gonna say EFF MY LIFE and go with modified lucas for coco...this is just too annoying

Make the switch, Save yourself the heartache, Try running straight GH lucas first and see how the plants respond before adding any other ferts like CalMag.

I did the switch and one of my favorite indicas loved it, while one of my favorite sativas pissed and moaned about CAL. So instead of adding CalMag, I bumped the PPM up to 1000 in veg and everybody was happy.

Stick to the basic rules of the formula first, Then tweak it from there depending on your plants needs. I hope everything gets better for ya Ninja.

Thanks pal!

Ive been growing in Soil forever and i can admit this is my first coco run.

That being said, my coco plants look AMAZING! Growth has been rediuclously fast, bouncing back from pruning/lst/topping has been SUPER FAST, did not even see ANY down time!

I disconnect my res whenever i see the water turn cloudy and hand water fresh nutes so the plants dont know about the shit water in the res ^^

From what i understand about GH lucas coco (6/9), its straight up 6/9 ALL through growth..i wonder what the PPM at 6/9 is? I have been watering my plants u pto 1260ppm at the moment (2 weeks into flower) and they love it and could prob get bumped to 1350-1400MAX during full bloom.

I have never heard of any variation of 0-6-9, and I have never heard of a set variation of the formula for coco. The formula always gets tweaked to a specific growers and plants needs though.

I defoliate and top my plants also in Aero, They never stop growing no matter how much I pull off them, I yank a ton of leaf and 2 days later its all back again. Its beneficial for controlling stretch and getting light to all parts of the plant. The growth is explosive no matter how much damage I do, Welcome to hydro!

This is the original formula.

For fresh rooted clones I go 0-2.5-5 (Half Strength Veg)

G-M-B (Grow-Micro-Bloom) in ML
0-5-10 - For Vegetative cycle (18/6)
0-8-16 - For Flowering cycle (12/12)

TDS @ 0.5 conversion:
0-4-8 = 473 ppm
0-5-10 = 592 ppm
0-8-16 = 947 ppm

Also make use of the equation provided by Lucas for add back (Topping off) It makes things a lot easier.

Lucas Example:

((target - current) / target) * 8 ml per gallon * res gallons = Flora Micro (ml) double this figure to get Flora Bloom (ml)

((1330 - 947) / 1330) * 8 * 22
(383 / 1330) * 8 * 22
0.3 * 8 * 22 = 53 ml Flora Micro, (106 Bloom)

uhhh... That's not what you said in your opening post. You said you were using Bloombastic. Is this true? Bloombastic advertises itself as being a biological additive "engineered to stimulate enzymatic processes." "Enzymes" and "biologic" both mean living organisms, aka organics.

Hey Freezer,

From what i understand, it is not a pure organic substance, so maybe it is a little? :/

Either way, this issue also happend when i did not add bloombastic :(

Im thinking 2 things now:
1. Either Canna Coco formula hates sitting around and/or me
2. My RO water res is contaminated some how. (i have a seperate rest JUST for clean ro water)

That leaves the canna coco as the culprit. CC contains humous which my dictionary defines as an alternate spelling of hummus. Hummus is organic and highly acidic which could explain the fast rising pH.

In the interest of full disclosure, being in the hydro section suggests you're growing media free but canna coco and DTW suggests a coco grow. If you're growing in coco, we should get this moved into the coco section. As a non-coco user I never give advice in the coco section. It wouldn't surprise me if coco growers avoid giving advice in the hydro section.

Hey Freezer, the reason i posted in the Hydro section is because you guys have much more experience with keeping a res with your plants. a lot of the coco guys on icmag are hand water guy :)

Thanks for letting me keep this here though!

I really appreciate yours, and everyone elses kind words and help :)

Well guys not to beat a dead horse but..

Fixed the problem :) And i feel like a total idiot.

Let me say THANK YOU to everyone (freezer!) for all the help, but I was so busy looking for the problem i forgot to look at the obvious!! My CalMG is ORGANIC! General Hydro Organic CalMG! Ive been using this for years and never looked at the bottle really because it always worked just fine.

Picked up chemical CalMG and its clear waters ^^

Thank you everyone and thanks Freezer for letting me hang out here a bit.

the med man

run a 2 part with h202 every 2 days, the ph is jumping due to algea growing which cuases root rot. stay away from any organics, or al least cut them by 75% for now

I am having the same issue, was using maxibloom with roots excelurator, hand watered with runoff first then filled my res and flooded once, ebb n flo, the next day my res was cloudy and smelled odd. Dumped the res and cleaned it out including pumps and tubing with bleach, rinced well, then hand watered for a couple days with maxibloom and dm zone. Figured it was the roots excel. Filled the res with canna coco a b and dm zone, flooded, next day ph drifts up almost a whole point and there's a film starting. Driving me crazy!!!
