Crohn's Disease

Hey all!

After doing some browsing on the med forum I wanted to make a thread just towards Crohn's Disease. I know other members suffer as well and pooling knowledge can only help.

So feel free to add whatever helps you or those you may know, tips, advice, strain recommendations. Spread the love.

After lots of research, trial and error, here are a few things that brother recommends.

- Pro-biotics....beneficial bacteria. They help plants, why not humans? Available in pill form and can really help, but may take a few weeks/months to really work well.

- Digestive Enzymes. Basically do as they say, help digest food more efficiently, also available in pill form.

- Avoiding intolerant foods. Try to keep a log of foods that don't agree with you or may pose an allergy. Getting specific food allergy tests can really help determine if you have "trigger" food(s)/ingredient(s)...i.e. gluten, dairy, soy, egg, nuts, etc. Someone may not come back fully positive for an allergen but carry a sensitivity which can be worse with Crohn's.

- Reduce any avoidable stress. Stress can be found all throughout life, but try to eliminate as much as possible. "Little shit" is just that, little shit, don't let it bother you.

- HERB! Vape, smoke, and eat as much as possible. Can't say there is a proper amount, but use as needed. About half a zip a week and edibles makes brother a much healthier person. Quiet a few strains help, but brother usually finds indica dominant hybrids are best.

- Jack's Cleaner, Killer Queen , OG Kushes, Diesel
dominant crosses work well. Williams Wonder and Afghani
Bullrider are known to be very effective as well

Think thats all for now.

Hope that may help some others!!!:smoke:

I just wanted to post that mybest results finding relief have been through extremly strict diet. (pretty much everything you listed, plus like all proccessed foods eliminated) And making a very strong edible to eat every nite, while smoking heavily during the daytime. I'm down to a few episodes a week instead of day. What level of relief have you achieved?
I agree most indicas help best, I had pretty good results with soursaver, and sensistar recently.

I definitely agree on a limited diet. Processed foods, especially fast foods, are something to be avoided as well. Narrowing down to a bland "base" diet, chicken, rice, potatoes, etc, can help reduce flares and then new foods can slowly be introduced.

I've been able to wean off all scripts and life has been much more enjoyable. Not 100% normal, but much, much better than I was visiting a plethora of doctors who didn't seem to care and simply push pills/infusions. My:2cents:

Hey friends I don't quite have crohns but in in the stall right next door w celiacs. Couldn't agree w brother more best strains for treating it are chemdog diesels and ogs. Would like to point out though that to be effective I find there needs to be some sativa bread in there as there is in almost all the crosses mentioned here! Also. blueberry and widow strains seem effective (the Mr nice versions of widow not the ingemar version) nice to meet some fellow med users with similar problems.

Welcome medeagle! Celiac's certainly qualifies for most info here too. I'm boarder line Celiac myself.

I totally agree on the blueberry/widow and the strain having some sativa lines. Jack's Cleaner is a sativa-dom hybrid which really work IMO with spasms. I keep a J.C.-dom mother of Qleaner (J.C. x Quirkle) which I adore. Dickcorn mentioned Sour Saver working well (Life Saver x Sour Bubble)....Life Saver having J.C. roots I believe.

Speaking of a gluten free diet, switching over can be beneficial for a majority of auto-immune disorders. I know of individuals with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn's, and MS who have found significant relief in symptoms from eliminating gluten.

Good info Andyo.

Are nuts/tree nuts easily available, seem to bother you?

Just curious, what's the herb availability/quality like in Thailand? Have heard its "average" quality and carries rather HARSH penalties in caught?
