That's a NL #5 that has been inbred, I believe. Never heard anything bad about his genetics.

I was disappointed for sure
If you remember the first few yrs of NL and were lucky to get your hands on it-you'd quickly realize what the doc offers is rubbish-for real
Even BCSC had the real NL in 1990's-why doesn't the doc-its bunk-beaster level potency-thats not NL!
real NL is a one hit wonder that has thai in it-great head to it

I'm aware of numerous strains referred to as "NL". If I remember correctly, all of them were clone only in original form. Any seeds were from crosses or selections that were back crossed.

I know there was at one time NL#1 (part of Sensi Hashplant), NL#2, NL#5 (generically referred to as "NL") and NL#9

I've only heard bad things about any of the Sensi NL offerings as of late.

I have heard good things about Nirvana NL (supposedly fairly pure) and Dr. Atomics (inbred).

There are also a few offerings that can't be mentioned here, but some digging can be useful to find those. I personally can recommend the NL from the breeders that currently offer Northenberry, and it's my understanding a dude named Joey has a very nice NL that is an inbred cross of Canadian and Dutch NL versions.

I wish you luck in your search

funny you say that because I think his male is thai leaning, and I think I have a thai leaning NLxBB of his. It kept stretching into week 4 and is just now focusing on filling its frame in, I'm over 35 days into 12/12 at this point.

I would recomend someones nl, but I'm afraid I might get banned since they don't sell them on the bay or boo, this policy racks my BRAIN. I read its better than atomic's and bcsc.

I would be very interested to try a specific Canadian version of NL.

"This particular variety of Northern Lights is a blend of several NL's. It has been selectively inbred to bring out the best qualities of all the sub varieties. "

Anyone have experience with Canadian NL's like this one?

It should be stellar, another vote of confidence!

nl #5 rocks. I have seen many plants in my day I have popped at least 75 packs of various beans done tons of local clone onlys lemon sour diesel,University of washington, I even have a chemdog ixiii mom. NL#5 is a top 5 percent in the cannabis world kind of phenom taken out to 60 days it will sit even an experienced oil smoker down to contemplate life :ying:

grew The Seed Bank's original Northern Lights #1 in the late 80s-early 90s. have since grown Sensi Seeds Northern Lights, Nirvana's Northen Lights, Dr. Atomic Northern Lights and Dr. Atomic Northern Lights #5. in my experience, Dr. Atomic Northern Lights and Dr. Atomic Northern Lights #5 come closest to the original Northern Lights #1. i have some of both strains and F1 hybrids made with each growing as i type this. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STRAINS FROM DR. ATOMIC.

just checked Seed Boutique, Dr. Atomic Northern Lights is OUT OF STOCK. checked a Canadian Seed bank, both Dr. Atomic Northern Lights and Dr. Atomic Northern Lights # 5 are OUT OF STOCK. growers vote with their seed money.

pollinated a Dr. A NL with a pure Panamanian sativa last fall. the F1 seedlings are awesome, wide leaves, short internode spacing with profuse side branching at 30 days from germination.

The problem is I remember real NL#5 from Sensi and even F2's
Beans coming from a phishy wook stronghold in Boulder, CO in 1994-straight up
Even DP's NL offering had similar killer phenos in 2000- I was shocked at the similarities in #2 and #5
The atomic NL I got was 2005' ish
Newbies would have been impressed-it was beast strength like I mentioned and that is not why I'm looking for-glad you had a positive experience!
