$: Thanks for the props Mike....but you already know that glass was destined for better men than I.

SG: NOT all birdhouses have that angle. You can thank Puddin' and Tako for puttin' their two heads together and producing that singular effect. If it wasn't for Puddin's radar-like prophetic ability to ferret out killer glass....and a killer glass blower to rely on......none of those things would be in existence currently. The birdhouses were once again some sort of "work in progress" from MTP....and as far as I know they were for straight up perks. Not intended for tubes with downstems like you usually see. You know they say necessity is the mother of invention.....so next thing in the evolution of birdhouses was gonna be that twist.
So short form answer to your question: it's a custom and Tako is the man at http://www.glassstyle.biz with these things. He labels them as "angled" or not so they're easy to locate. Last time I looked however, there was just the straight model....seems like the curved ones are hard to keep in stock....ROFL. Seems like Tako's touch is in quite alot of demand for good reasons.

Lui Che: That's 3 feet of respiratory terror in that picture. I'm not standing, but it is a couch tube....you gotta sit back with it on the floor and extend your arm to the limit to light even with a barbeque torch. Luckily my new toy came with a dabber long enough to fit the bill. All must bow to the lungbuster. I know people got fancy-schmansy tubes....and I don't mind 'em at all....but there's something to be said about straight up simple glass.....of which that's one of them. Plus you almost never see any Amsterdam Design Studio tubes anymore......last of the silica giants baby! Anyhows, you make it state-side on this side of the pond and I'll fill up your alveoli with fog that would scare John Carpenter. That you can bank on my European brotha' from another motha.
