I'm looking for some sort of gear that I can install.
That if my place was intruded upon I would receive a message via my phone.

Cams,heat sensors,magnetic thingies you put on doors and windows.

any info will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a home phone line?

They make motion dialers that will call you and announce a message when motion is detected.

Lorex makes a variety of home surveillance equipment. I have an 8 camera DVR setup ($500 on sale at Costo, sick deal). It works quite well. Most of their products can be accessed from anywhere over the Internet simply by plugging it into your home network (or connecting wirelessly). The DVR I have also has iPhone and Android apps so that I can monitor 4 cams at once on my phone.

if you're on a budget, a webcam and some motion detecting software is only like $25. it will send pictures to your phone.

works pretty well too.

Now anyone got a link for a system or cameras that don't look like cameras lol? I kinda want it where people don't know I have cameras set up. IE I would love to have a discreet camera watching my trash can area, the end of my driveway, and 2 around garage. That way I can see if someone was snooping around my garage, see if I had a trash pull, or anything else.

You gotta be a little bit innovative there and put your set-up in fake landscaping rocks, bird houses etc.

If you are willing/capable to set up a surveillance camera system then you should have no problem concealing them, neither.

Or buy them concealed and pay BIG bucks!

This has been a thought of mine for a bit now. You take a game camera that has a motion sensor ability and can send pictures to a mobile phone, then just point it at the door. If you ever get a message from there you'll get a picture and the knowledge ahead of time that your place is compromised.
