I'll have to wait to get some decent flash pics, but three weeks into flower, trichomes are starting to appear. I also threw a trellis in there to support the plants as they get heavier.

Also, it turns out my RF leak is from my lamp cord, not my ballast. So I need to swap out my reflector for a different one. Who'da thunk?

really? let me know how that works out for you and how you end up fixing it

can you shine a little light on how to find the interference with an AM radio?

my cap gen-1 was sticking and draining a whole propane tank in 2 days so i turned it off, i turned it back on with a new tank today and ill see what happens... i originally thought well maybe the digi ballasts are messing up the sentinel but maybe thats not the case because it was working correctly for the first month I had it turned on

iamdink: I'm not too concerned about light leaks coming in, as the tent is situated in a windowless garage, which is already pretty damn dark. That said, there are definitely lots of pinholes leaking out when the light's on, so if you were planning on placing it inside your flower room, it would have to go through a lot of light proofing.

greenthumbdub: RF interference is Radio Frequency interference—it interferes with AM radio signals. If your AM radio works when the light's off and doesn't when the light's on, you've got RF interference. My AM radio worked when the light was off, didn't work when the light was on, but worked when the ballast was running sans lamp cord. Thus, my conclusion that the lamp cord is leaking RF. Tech support at CAP said this was possible, though they were rather eager to blame the problem on something other than the CAP.

Alright, it's been a while since I posted my last update, as I was away for a week (my dear friend did the feeding for me). It's now entering into the sixth week of flowering, and things are starting to look a lot more interesting. I've been battling a little mag lockout, I think caused by Biocanna Flores having such a high K and the fact that I've been adding a couple of additives with a bunch of K in them (like Black Diamond and Humboldt Honey). I'm cutting back on everything with K in it to see if that helps my problems. In the meantime, though, they're frosting up nicely, Mag issues or no.

And here are some pictures with the lights off and the flash on. God I wish my camera had an HPS white balance option. Tomorrow marks six weeks of flowering. Four more till finish, three till flush.

More budshots. Cured shots and final weight coming soon—it's cut and almost done dry. Looks like around a pound...

Yep, ten weeks. The smell's quite good in the half-ounce or so I (prematurely) put in a jar. Pretty, well, Chem 4-y. A kinda floral diesel funk. Good stuff. The smoke's really smooth, especially for not being cured all the way. And the high is definitely sativa, without a question. Almost edgy. But I like it that way.

So it turns out it's harder to take a good photo of the finished product than of the plant. Which is a shame, cause the finished product is quite nice. It's got a good, chemy taste and smell, it burns super smooth despite not having been properly cured yet, and it's got a great daytime sativa high. Oh, and there's a pound and a quarter of it. Not to shabby for a first run without c02 working, eh?

Next time I think it's going to be an OG—maybe fire. With the co2 working I'll probably be lucky to hit the same yield. I'm also going to start making some compost tea, something I meant to do this round but was too lazy to. Also, more training, a little more pruning, and different soil. I'm doing (at my growshop's suggestion) a side by side of Biobizz All-Mix and Sunshine Advanced Rainforest Blend, a new one that looks pretty interesting. I'm going for a more built initial soil in the hopes that I don't have to tiptoe around feeding the clones for the first week or two. Also, maybe I'll water a little less frequently, which will be good for my social life.
