Hydrofarm has the exclusive http://www.hydrofarm.com/pb_detail.php?itemid=11738 $299

I emailed Kessil:

How many chips does each light have? Please don't tell me a one chip light (2 ft pattern) retails for $300- that's the price Hydrofarm has! I can't see them flying off the shelves at that price, especially when your own videos are using many multiple fixtures over 5 tomato plants; 500 watts? Those are expensive tomatoes! The real world value is how large a plant can be grown under one light.

I grow with LED UFOs and the hydro store I buy all my stuff at is trying to get one of these units for me to test on my grows vs the 90w LEDs. I first saw these at the indoor garden expo in San Francisco a couple months ago. The didnt seem as intense as the LED panels that used 2w 60deg diodes but then again it was at an expo that had lots of artificial lighting everywhere you looked. Heres the info sheet I got on them at the expo

At the expo they had a mobile (the think that hangs above infants cribs) with a couple different colored led fixtures that rotated about 3' above some tomato plants. Hopefully I can get one of these units to test if so ill post my results.

A visit to Kessils website and unfortunately Hydrofarm has the exclusive. I had a bad experience with Hydrofarm's support after the sale and so am already turned off. A quick trip to Hydrofarms website revealed that they are selling them for $299 each!

If we didn't already think LEDs are expensive, 3 bills large for ~30watts? Somebody is smoking something funny.

Every video I found showed multiple lights being used, and as many as 6 ($1800) on a rotating track covering a 4-6 ft area.

It is clear they want to recoup their $30m investment fast. I don't see that happening. Dumb bean counters

Unfortunately thats a problem I see with almost every piece of hydroponic equipment. Its all grossly overpriced.

LED and induction have been a lot of hype, until I see a grow that makes my jaw drop, I am not bothering with the technology
