What's new

using AACT with synthetic nutes

is there a benefit? i use gh flora 3 part + beneficials and i use EWC in my promix.

what is better in this case, foliar or root drench? both?

my regimen is feed - water - water. how can i implement the AACT best? thx

more research required.

actively aerated compost tea is feeding micro life that feeds the plants

gh flora is something different altogether.

EDIT:
Sorry i was first thinking you meant brewing tea with GH as the components.

I am not sure how GH flora would affect the micro life if used and real compost tea was also brewed and used.

if you are brewing real AACT, then no synthetic nutes required.

If you are going to go as far as making a tea why not just go 100% organic? A good tea + a good soil + occasional top dress = all you need.

well, as I understand it.. and I could be wrong

microbes are just fine in chemical solutions, that is until the media becomes dry

someone correct me if I'm wrong

you will be even more successful by going 100% microbes and ACT and organic.

It is the LEAST EXPENSIVE way to fertilise.

you can use it indoor in soil less or outdoor.

Even if they are fine, you are cheating yourself, as you will appreciate what the tea does.

The question is; What type of microbes? The kind that feed plants or the kind that like to digest chemical fertilizers? This is the crux of this often repeated question.

that's like bussing in a bunch of auto factory workers to a car dealership. there's nothing for them to do.

if you're using synthetic ferts, you're bypassing the soil food web (and probably slowly destroying whatever life exists in your soil).

plus, the possibility exists that the ACT might actually fuck with your feeding schedule because the microorganisms will eat a certain amount of the nutrients in your fertilizer, tying them up for a certain amount of time (until they die).

like others have said, switch to 100% organic (we're biased, but you'd probably thank us later), or keep on doin what your doin and forget about ACT.

I just read this to see the comments. If you do it and succeed please come here and post some pics and tell us your yield and such. Thanks for posting.
