To my fellow nerd brethren, StarCraft II is live!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I know there isn't much I like more than lighting a fat one, sitting back and enjoying some of the most competitive StarCraft II games in the world. You can tune in at gomtv.net. You have to download the GOM player, but it's a decent player, don't worry, no viruses or anything. You can watch the live games free! The games are being hosted in Korea, the tournament is called the GSL, or Global StarCraft League. There is english commentary available and they really make the show what it is. The more you watch the closer you feel like family to these guys, they're really down to earth and are very passionate about the game. It's a way of life in Korea. Pro-gamers live in team houses and practice 8+ hours a day with their teammates. I can't say anything that will do the games justice, just tune in and watch!

I know I can't be the only nerd here who watches the GSL! So come on fellow nerds, unite and say hey!

I went from Starcraft, to Warcraft3, to Dota, to League of Legends, but lately I have been thinking about getting SC2. Is it pretty balanced now? When it first came out I had a few friends bitching about it being very unbalanced. (Maybe they were just noobs though)

StarCraft II has came a long way in terms of balance since release, mostly people just know how to play better! I'll admit even I quit playing for awhile, but now that new maps are out a lot of the problems surviving early rushes has been remedied. The fun part is each race is imbalanced in it's own way, and they should balance each other out if both players are of equal skill.

I played DotA for 4+ years, played LoL beta till HoN came out, haven't looked back since. I'd still play LoL over DotA though.

I like lol better than hon, but I am anxious for dota2. I hope steam can do something good with it.

I too, am anxious for DotA2, whether or not I'll play it religiously like I did with DotA/HoN I don't really know. The biggest problem with the genre is the community, I just can't stand playing with all the ragers.

Glad to see there's a few other nerds out here, I don't feel so lonely now! :dance013:
