This year I'm gonna be running Swiss Cheese and Pure Power Plant by nirvana.

Soil: Promix HP

Nutes: Earth Juice: Grow, Bloom and Catalyst.

All nutes to be bubbled 12-24 hours.

Any comments and recommendations are much appreciated.

I have been using Dr. Earth's "Liquid Solution" as an all-around plant food, at 3-3-3 it's fairly mild.

I'll be using Fox Farms planting mix or their "happy Frog" soil conditioner on my non-container area and the "Happy Frog" potting soil in my containers.

During flower I use the Tiger Bloom and so far it's been OK, I might try the Cha-Ching this year to see if i can increase the weight.

Good luck with your grow. :)

hey cheif, i plan on using ProMix, FFOF, chunky perlite, blood&bone meal, kelp, lime

not sure for nutes yet, im just using bloom nutes now (ME tea, Budswel, Nirvana, blackstrap), but for outdoors with this soil mix im going to feed some veg nutes as well, but keep it light as the soil contains a good amount already.

ill be using peatmoss, nukes from homedepot, water crystals, perlite, lime.

floralicous plus gallon is the only thing i feel is worth the money compared to final product.

lmao @ riverrat, if you can tend to your plants regularly then the nutes sound good. I am using the dry fertilizer heavy harvest so I dont have to make the 70 mile drive all the time. I am also growing nirvanas swiss cheese. good luck

70 miles!! holy shit michaelpeg. At current gas prices you can save money buying weed!!!

Hey guys

I hope you dont beat me up for offering up an opinion that strays from conventional knowledge. I still havent healed from the last beating so....

Its my view that spending much money on fancy fertilizers is just wasted cash. A plant, marijuana or other, needs nitrogen, pottasium, potash and a multitude of trace elements. The plant only knows and cares if those nutrients are in the soil in amounts that it needs. It doesnt have a clue as to the basis for those nutes. It doesnt know whether they came from a rotting log and vegetation, from Advance Nutrients or a deer turd.

2. There is a reason the world rejoiced and world food production tripled with the introduction of chemical fertilizers. Generally, organic yeilds are much less and a great deal of work and effort is required to make organics perform as well as chemicals. It can be done, but it aint easy.

3. Peat based soils or airy organic soils dry out so fast in the outdoors when the weather warms that you will litterally be worked to death watering if the weather turns dry. My organic soils require almost 2X the water that plants planted in native soil with a significant clay content. The clay ingredient in the soil retains much more moisture for a longer period than airy organics and the health of the plant in dry weather is obvious.

Just food for thought and ideas to ponder. I know others feel strongly about their grow methods. Im still learning.

Its real hard to do a 600 gallon smart pot when you live where there is no medical mj. D.S. brings up good points about soil. i guess it depends on whether your going guerilla or you can care for them everyday.
