Hello peeps i got a little question about adding some
sirup to my tea. Gonna brew some my first batch.
I got bubblers, 2 types of compost and worm castings fresh
now i need to ad blackstrap molasses and before buying it
can i use gerstemoutstroop thats in dutch and in french it is sirop de malt dórge and in englisch it is barley malt syrup i am living in holland and not everytihing i can find in the store
And question 2 is about kelpmeal it in the fishing store for some fishbait thing can i use that to for my soil and tea's
it is not really meal but more schredded kelp i guess

I've been looking for malt to add to my soil mix as an experiment. I would certainly try it in very small doses. Flora Nova contains malt syrup.
Check a feed store for feed grade molasses. Make sure it doesn't a bunch have of preservatives though. I would use both.
 
I have made compost tea that I added a 40oz bottle of Old E Malt Liquor. I only used that recipe a few times in the past, but I have seen it used non stop in other gardens before.

i've been using barley malt extract (the syrup kind) in place of molasses in brews. i don't have a microscope to check for sure it's working, but the plants love it. i did a bunch of research and it's very similar to black strap molasses in terms of sugar (carbs) as well as micronutrients, etc.

i substitute it 1:1 for molasses in MM's tea recipe
