16 plants instead of 12 FTW , but I guess you`re growin 2 sets of 6 for your med scrip...right ?.....If not , do 16 at least.....

Barebulbs and flat grows don`t mix well , but can be done with extra reflectivity on the ceilings and floors.....

Yield ?.....Plant numbers dictate yield....To do 1 gpw with 12 plants requires 200 grams per plant dried and cured...........Only 150 grams per 16.........It`s a numbers game Bro , if you`re ableta play it.....4-600`s in almost 50 sq ft is closeta 50 watts per sq ft , so .....that`s a lil over 5 1/4 lbs dialed........5 lbs 5 oz 20 grams US to be precise........

Good luck ....DHF...:ying:....

Sweet hoping for at least 4 I've been putting this together the last couple months it's almost ready :) ghetto yet amazing at the same time, since I'm by no means rich. Total setup cost (ballasts everything) under $2000, pvc diy panda poly tent, heavily reinforced with gorilla tape. "Kiddie pool" constructed out of left over pvc and panda poly. Cinder blocks under the pool to create a smaller pool in the middle to collect waste water. 6" intake and exhaust fans on speed controllers with insulated ducting leading straight outside light running at night hopefully perfectly slow enough to keep the room temp right lol... I'll probably need an a/c once it gets hotter but the outside air is being pulled from the shade so I think it'll be fine for a while it's usually 45-55F at night and 65-70 in the shade during the day...
Edit: I could do 16 plants would just need to get a few more bricks, 18 is my max right now since I'll be growing for 3 people including myself and the entire inside of the tent is the white side of the panda poly should be fine right? k+ all around thx

Edit: If doing 16 would 5 gallon bags be better? Would it make more sense to supercrop instead of having the screen?

5 gal smartpots worked for me , but I suppose bags are ok .....but....

Don`t expect those kinds of yields without dialing a perfect environment with 1 strain at a time , so you can squeeze every gram possible out of said strain for max yields.....

Yes you`ll need support for bigger plants , and a screen`s ok , but as far as supercropping , topping , etc , it`s all about canopy management so light can penetrate as deep as possible , and anything below that penetration level is stealing upper plant energy from letting the upper and outer extremeties of each plant from being all they can be , and needs cleaned out up underneath......

Good luck...DHF....:ying:....

i have seen (4) HPS 600s running vertical bare with 12 - 6 ft trees in 5 gallon coco hempy. with the right strain you should hit 70-80oz.

I think I'll do the super cropped trees with 12 7 gallons instead, so I won't have to redo the drippers I already setup and wont have to setup a screen :). I'll just stake them n use the plastic plant ties to get the bud sites in the right spots... yea I know not to expect over 5lbs lol I'm hoping at least 4 though this isn't my first time growing but I'm no pro... I'm just hoping the oz per gallon rule plays in my favor lol

This is how we do it vertically with 4 600 watt HPS bulbs. 8x8 room.
This is a perpetual garden which harvests 4 trees every 3 weeks.
Week 1-3 gets the plants used to HID intensity and promotes stretch.
Week 3-6 gets cross lighting which packs on the weight.
Week 6-9 finishes it off.
The plants get moved every 3 weeks.

x= plants
0= bulbs

X X X X - week 1 - 3 flower
__0 0__
X X X X - week 3 - 6 flower
__0 0__
X X X X - week 6 - 9 flower

Now, if you are not doing perpetual, then you can just move the plants around so they all get cross (4 bulbs at a time) lighting at some point of the grow.

IMO 7 gallon is overkill unless you plan to veg for a long time and grow 7-8 ft trees. The issue with vertical lighting is that the plants will bush out and it might be a problem fitting so many trees around the room. It is tight in the room !
You will need some support for the branches (stakes, string from ceiling, cage, etc)

Can't get pictures right now, plus the room isn't finished, but imagine a giant xmas present as the tent. Bulbs are arranged like mg75 but over a smaller area and the plants will be in triangles around the bulbs. There's 6" around the inside pool to walk, I'm pretty damn skinny though and it'll be enough room for me to shuffle around, and it is a tent so it does flex lol... I was planning on vegging for a month to 6 weeks though if I get the larry og or sour. Bushing is fine since I'm more restricted on height and with a flat scrog I'd be hitting it every step probably, which was my real concern with that. I can't setup a perpetual yet, don't mind pulling them down all at once the people I'm growing it for are helping trim :)
edit: I'm stupid, going to setup a circular/cylinder scrog. Pics to come when it's in action!
