Smoketrees or whomever else wants to chime in, I just read a story about the original Chem and the 12 beans that were sold to the dude in Mass. Is there truth to the fact that Og Kush is actually west coast Chem, and that head band falls in this gentetic pool as well? I am aware of the tie thru diesel, just curious about the Og Kush tie. Any truth in this?

Yea mito, that chem story seems to be the accepted stories of the history of the chemdogs, sour diesel, headband, og etc... I believe that to be the case, as i do think they are all related... But i could also believe there being discrepancies in the story as well... I have no experience dating that far back, so i just go by what ive always read, with numerous threads, that always get really heated (every OGK thread used to be a shit show) Oh ya, that polecat looks fucking AWESOME! what a crazy mix of genetics!

As for the Platinum og.. There are 2 cuts of the Plat (most likely even more under that moniker)... one is og x afghani The other is just og. Im pretty sure the platinum that PNC has is that afghani cross... There is a Plat og from discount caregivers (originators of the diablo cut) and there platinum og cut is just a pure og, no cross. And its actually quite fire, goes by a few different names.. (the different names part bugs me)

(from what ive seen in numerous gardens, the Tahoe always seems to have a very similar nug structure, no matter what the enviroment...Noticeable compared to other ogk cuts

Edit: ohhh yaaa. and greyskulll... Albert Walker... Subrob and myself, and some of my other friends decided were just gonna call it A Dub. I dont care what other people call it, but thats what im gonnna refer to it as. Gigglefruit is really cool. But i prefer A Dub. Also, i know someone who has a cut of AW they got 4 years ago, and they say its just like tha docta describes, and "no grapefruit at all"... So hopefully they will be nice enough to let me run there AW and see the difference.

I've run the Platinum OG from PNC, an Afghani hybrid seems right, and I've heard other's reports as well, and we all seem to agree: Four Star Bling, but only one star punch...

Not sure If I have the OG x Afghani or the straight OG Platinum, Ill grow her out and post her up. I do have the SFV OGbx2 which is a OG x Afghani to compare it to so that may help. It sounds like one of the cuts may be like Blackberry Kush (Bubba x [Blackberry x White Rhino]), looks amazing but doesn't hit as hard as she looks like she should. The Platinum mom I have does have that OG structure and leaf but grows a lil more sturdier than the SFV, although I think the SFV got stunted early on but seems to be coming around nicely as of late. Yeah the SFV not sturdy at all. Even in veg her branches are flopping out sideways (sort of like the AW / A Dub in flower). ...Which by the way i find to be 'great taste, less filling' (regarding weight)

Also, i don't know if i will be referring to it as gigglefruit. ...sound too much like tummy sticks

I guess I missed it but whats the reasoning behind the A Dub name? With all the Sour Dubble, Dubble technology names we got going it seems like we should steer clear of another "dub" unless it really fits. Dago Walker aint bad IMO....I wouldn't be shy about mentioning the Gigglefruit name to any lady about to take a bong rip of it though.

Yeah there is a cut thats just Platinum.. Thats not OG at all.. A very indica plant, that is EXTREMELY bubba like... A reall good friend of mine has been running his platinum cut for nearly 10 years...To me its like a Platinum bubba, or mater kush... but hes always just called it platinum... Sometimes refers to it as platypus

The only reason ive decided to call our 'Albert Walker' A Dub is cause many of the people i gave the cut to/ friends who love to smoke it, already refer to it as the A Dub, or A Dubs... Its kinda the shortened nickname we have always used... So that way people will still know what we are refering to, but it is still a different name than albert walker...
You guys can call it whatever ya want, thats what im gonna refer to it too...
As far as im aware, i was the first person to get the cut from APE, and he shortly lost the cut after giving it to me, and eventually had to get it back from me.... Many of the people i know who grow/smoke the ADub, would never have if i didnt get the cut originaly... Not trying to brag, just saying how ive had experience with our mislabeled cut since its first been available, so if im gonna call it A Dub... Any of my close friends that got it from me, are gonna be calling it that as well.... But like i said, i could care less what other people call it.


And also, Dubble Technology is such an inaccurate name... If ObSouL33t made the cross himself, with his original Alien Tech male, than that would be the proper name... But calling Sour Dub x Aliendog Dubble Technolog.... I mean humble made the cross, so he can call it whatever he wants... But i bet OBS wouldnt be to keen on the idea of calling it Dubble Technology. But its kinda hard to come up with a clever/catchy name for those two combined
