2nd run of Nirvana Cali-O

time to fire up the grow chamber, get that last hermie grow/taste out of my mouth
the micro setup is 3 27w cfls in a 15 inch 'tube' setup
built from white pre-painted aluminum flashing, excellent reflective qualities(in my opinion)

my 1st try with the Cali-O gave me a male, was a nice male, pollen still frozen and creating crosses
but a female is much wanted, pic is at 14 days, had some cool temps in my grow area, slowed things down a bit

Did Nirvana discontinue Cali-O? I can't find it anywhere.

it may have discontinued, i have seen one bank(can't give you a link) that is still carrying it
there are still a fair number of 'similar' strains that i think share a good deal of genetics
there are a few growers here that are preserving the strain, maybe a seedbay drop sometime in the future

I mentioned in another cali-o thread, I've got f2's from 2004 in the fridge. If there's enough demand, I'll grow out some server beans. These f2 beans are frickin huge! I thought I had made hemp! A buddy grew some out and said they were the most beautiful plants in his garden.

i'm having a bit of proxy trouble with uploading pics, hope to get the pic up a bit later
so a quick verbal description, it's catching up from the cool temps it started with, and generally looks healthy
there is a quirk here though, there's a half twist towards the end of larger fan leaves, maybe a bit of a mutant

uploading seems better behaved today, growing compact - compensation for lower temps i guess

pretty much has caught up from the slow start, cfl's do tight veg, 5 inches tall
so 5 inches and i flip the switch, 12/12 started today
the weather has sucked so bad in the northeast for the 2 months, this grow gives me a touch of green during the day

I couldn't find it either, not even from Nirvana themselves.

I just grabbed a pack of royal orange instead, hopefully they will turn out nice.


I love the Cali O bud, it was the third strain of seeds I ever bought. I just finished growing out my last seed from that pack a couple weeks ago,(it was old, but it germed and was a girl) and I think it's time for a big bong of it now.

i'd start talking female with such compact proportions, but i know better from my 1st run(male - just as compact), very compact is this version of Cali-O
i believe it is the indica reworked version, not quite what the older cali-o was

Yeah, good vibe strain. Not so potent, but it made any TV show look interesting and amusing. Also good for outside activities, like barbecue etc.
Loved it, and only not-so-potent strain I would grow again. Still hold 5 beans and plan to make some crosses with em in future.

That is so cool, and why I love this site! It's obvious Gypsy, Old Pink and the crew actually read these threads. Somebody read about peeps wanting cali-o, and the light goes on in somebody's head (wait, we've got those beans in stock), and bang, there they are. Very Cool Indeed!
